I feel pretty good about this trade destroying he Rams long-term.
If I am a Rams fan, this trade would've thrilled me LAST year. This year? Not so much. I believe Goff and Wentz are at least a full level below Mariota and Winston as QB prospects.
I, too, like Goff best. Of course I'm the guy who didn't like Aaron Rodgers. On the other hand all the guys I've reached out to say they're going with Wentz. IMO Tenessee made out best regardless of how this plays out. I'm not convinced either guy is a franchise QB. Tennessee could have a better shot at a quality QB next year.

Rams are going to pick Goff instead of Wentz imo.

I'm not convinced Mariota will ever be a good NFL QB.
For all those who believe the Rams gave up too much, think about this. The Rams got a ton of draft picks in the RGIII deal, and have not taken the next step. Why? The have had continuity. They have the same coach. It is because they never were good at QB. Plain and simple. If you aren't good at QB, it is almost impossible to be a competitive team in the NFL. The move is a solid move. Whether they get the right guy and have a plan to support and develop him is secondary to that. The Redskins didn't make a bad deal for a QB, they just selected the wrong one. You give up whatever you have to in order to get a top QB. It is never a bad move. However, selecting the wrong one is.
That being said...the Rams will probably butcher the move and select Wentz over Goff.
2-1 TD INT ratio, almost 3,000 yards in 12 games with 62.2% completion for a trainwreck team . . . umm . . . he already is?
How bout Colin Krapernick & the 7th overall pick to the Browns for #2? Then Chip can take whichever QB is still left. Does the value chart work for that?
I love playing in a competitive division. Great move by the Rams as long as it works out. I would go Goff over Wentz, but that is just me. I get the appeal of Wentz, but I just feel he has too many unknowns. They have Case to start right away, they have Gurley to pound the ball, and they have a decent defense.
I love competition, and this could make the Rams more competitive and push the Cardinals to get even better.
There must have been some serious competition for the 1st pick for the Rams to give up this much. I bet some other trade offers were very close.
The last four teams that have traded up in the draft to either the 1st or 2nd pick and then taken a QB with that pick:
Colts - Jeff George (1990)
Chargers - Ryan Leaf (1998)
Falcons - Michael Vick (2001)
Redskins - Robert Griffin (2012)
Woof!
And he might just be that good or close to it

Who are you talking about? Wentz or Goff? Because in the media there is not even a definite consensus on who is the better QB as far as that's concerned.
In other words , BE AFRAID ----- BE VERY AFRAID !!!!!

Wentz could be good but I am with you, too many unknowns from a small school... I like Goff the most too
