Both of them don't deserve a roster spot IMO.

Like I said earlier, cheering for one of them over the other is like cheering for diarrhea over constipation. No matter what, your S sucks. :)

I'm in

first of all I didn't boo King. I was frustrated at the play calling AND king's running around like a remote control car gone haywire. But, I did not boo.
Second-I spoke with someone on the D last night and it seems they don't care how much they play as long as we win.
Third- the McCown interception is one when he should have took off and run out of bounds.
Last- If anyone should have been booed it should have been Green. He's made a mess of this and it's on his shoulders. I don't particularly care what anyone thinks of either QB. This whole scenario was handled wrong. Just imo.

I wasn't on King from the start. I was giving him chances. Plenty of chances. But after he was showing me that he was completely inept, I was yelling for him to be benched.

If I am not satisfied with a player's, or ref's, or coach's (coordiators included) performance, I will boo. I booed the offensive coordinator when we ran up the middle on 3rd and 9. I booed when King underthrew a pass, that would have been a sure touchdown, and it was picked off. And I booed when our offense was nonexistent. I cheered like crazy for our defense, however. For even when they gave up some big plays, I knew that it most likely would NOT happen again. Not with our offense, however. When they came to the ball, I was asking myself either, "Will they get a first down?" or "What stupid play will they do next?"

I'm glad that King was benched and I hope Josh improves. If he doesn't, and we are eliminated from the playoffs, I want Navarre in there to see what he has. Whatever gets our team winning.

To be clear, I have no problems booing after a ridiculous play. I booed my ass off after that 3rd and 9 run debacle...I booed the series. Craptastically executed crap.

I have more issues with people booing king from his second pass on, simply because they wanted Josh, who sucks just as much as King. And the booing when our offense takes the field is counterproductive to them doing well. I mean, hell...we cheer the defense and boo when the offense takes the field. What in the hell kind of message does that send?

Boo King when he throws at a guy's feet...ok, go for it. Boo King when he doesn't find an open guy? Yep. Good call. Boo the guy when he comes out on the field, before any play is run? You are a bad fan, plain and simple. At least let the guy ef up before unleashing the boos. But of course, Josh is a saint, and he's gonna lead us to the Playoffs. NO HE ISN'T. He sucks too. JOSH SUCKS TOO, is a great chant.

I want to see Navarre, because it is clear that numbers one and two at the QB position suck, and can't do crap. Please, for the love of God, don't boo him JUST because he isn't Josh, which is what a lot of fans were doing.

And FFS SEZ fans, STAND UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Be as vociferous in your support for the team as you are with your booing. I swear to God, I yelled at more Card fans tonight as I did Jets fans, and I almost got in three fights yelling at Jet fans. CHEER FOR YOUR DAMN TEAM!!! It was close, and we were driving, and many SEZ fans were thumbing their a's instead of getting LOUD. That disgusts me.

And to those who chanted "we want Josh." You suck. All of you. Every last one. You know why? Not only because Josh sucks as much as King does, but because soooo many "fans" are quick to boo, but hardly any get off their dirty a's to cheer the team when they need it.

Way to inspire the offense, a'tards....boo the people trying to score. Bunch of idiots you are. Booing while sitting on your asses. I'm calling out half of the SEZ right now...a bunch of b's and I am embarrased to be called a Cardinal fan if your lazy a is one too. There was one guy, in section 40 maybe, with big black curly hair, and a black Cardinal shirt on, that saw me yelling at the crowd for being b's...and nodded. Whoever you are, and any others like you,. this isn't for you.

For you boobirds...go home. We don't need you. King sucks. Yeah. Josh sucks. Yeah, perhaps even more. Maybe even Navarre sucks, and our entire QB corp is crap. But you suck more. If you can't cheer on your team, you can go straight to hell. Only people that should EVER be booed are the refs, and the opposing team. Once you turn on our team, you lose all respect.

Props to the people in section 38 yelling their a off and chanting DEFENSE with 40 seconds remaining. I give a crap if it made a difference...maybe one player heard it and realized that WE are NOT fairweather fans.

I'd forgive the boos and the bs if it were a sold out game. But this was around 30K, and many people are accountable.

King sucks. Josh sucks. Navarre *probably* sucks. But if you booed your team tonight, you suck more than all of them put together.

/venting session

I didn't get it either. King and McCown have played about the same but yet King gets booed on the first series? Obviously, the fans have their favorite but to boo your own player without giving him a chance is pretty bogus.

Hey, let's bring on Navarre and boo his ass too.

I think this is what is was. Pent up booing from the Carolina game. Or maybe the fans where letting Green know their displeasure about 13 points over 2 games.

ok let me clarify to boo anyone after the second play of a game is moronic.
I don't think it was moronic to boo after two plays because you had a QB (McCown) who's team had won two in a row and 3 of 4 heading into a important road game at Carolina. The backup comes in and has more fumbles and INT's than I can count and the Cards get blown out on the road. The booing I think was more directed at Green, not King..I mean Leon.

Josh may not be lighting up the scoreboard but he was doing something that no Cardinals quarterback had done in a long time... not lose the game for the team with stupid plays.

Toro I agree. I didnt think the timing of the bench was the best by any means.

But we do know this. Neither QB is the one that will lead us to be perrenial winners.

First of all, I'm wondering where my previous post went. (It was non-inflammatory).

I was raised never to boo.

Aside from the moral pros and cons, there are pragmatic reasons for not boo'ing.

1. Do you really think boo'ing will make the guy getting boo'd play better?

2. Do you think everyone associated with the team doesn't feel embarrassed and angry when the team plays lousy?

3. And, most of all, I've always been taught "never to let the other guys see you sweat." Boo'ing is collective sweating - at best, it had to have made Jet players and fans feel extra good.

Regarding King and McCown. I think King was given most of 2 games to show us what he could do. He couldn't get it done. I don't want to hear about "rust." A backup's supposed to come in and not lose a beat.

McCown, both in his appearances prior to his benching and his brief stint yesterday, looked more effective than King.

But let's be honest - McCown, at best, is a work in progress with an uncertain future.

It's becoming more and more obvious that, with a capable QB at the helm, the Cards would have won 6 or 7 games by now against relatively mediocre competition.

I don't think King will ever be the answer. McCown might eventually be; but quite possibly he won't be.

If you're going to try to get by with a "QB on the cheap", you'd better either be (a) lucky or (b) Bill Walsh. It's becoming growingly apparent that Michael, Rod and Dennis' adherance to this strategy hasn't panned out.

If I'm Dennis, I play McCown for the rest of the season (with Navarre in relief late in games where appropriate) to get a final reading on what we've really got. Then I'd be prepared to spend some serious money on a really good free agent QB and/or a high profile QBOF.

And, no, I haven't come close to writing off Dennis. To accomplish a big turnaround, you have to make bold moves as Dennis is doing. But sometimes a bold move will backfire. And when it does, it's likely to be a real doozie.

I still think that McCown deserves a chance. Half a season is typically not enough time to develop a starter. Favre didn't play well his first few years. I know it is just one example though.
