Yeah-----that's it I'm sure. Mikey just wants to display his flaws for all the world to see. I mean it's not like Haley, (who just happens to be part of something really good that happened here), might have some insight on what is missing from this offense, (other than Warner).

Maybe Michael just wants to pick his brain to determine whether or not Haley sees the same things that are missing from, or wrong about our current offensive situation from when Haley was part of it being good. Good reporters are known to do that you know-----get a confirmation from a second source who has knowledge about the situation, before finalizing their story. Why not see what Haley might contribute should he come here, or at least determine what he feels about things as they are today, (post Whiz).

If Michael Jr and Haley are friends or at least have a respectful association, he does not need an official interview to get his perspective. I do not like the Haley interview because Michael to me sees this as a possible option, not just a sly way to get advise.

Developing QBs and wins will satisfy the fanbase. Haley is from the Parcells tree, intense and innovative. Have we run any cool trick plays since Haley left? Remember the NFC Championship game QB to HB, throw back to QB who those deep to Fitzgerald for a wild TD. I miss those types of calls. I might be the minority in saying this but Todd Haley would be a very good hire - ESPECIALLY- if Cardinals retain Horton as DC.

Go Cardinals!

You make a good argument for Todd Haley as offensive coordinator.

But they are interviewing him for head coach. As coordinator he could be somewhat controlled and channeled by the head coach. As head coach he could and probably would do some very dumb things because he'd be almost totaly unrestrained.

The hiring of someone thought to be as abrasive as Haley might speak volumes about Michael Bidwill and raise 2nd thoughts about Wiz's relationships woth some of his players.

Maybe it wasn't Wiz at all who favored applying "tough love" to Leinart, Skelton, Beanie etc. Maybe it was Michael's call every time.

Til recently, my take on Michael was that he was a modern-style executive who, as heir apparent, was easing into the position and running a collegial, collaborative shop with his coach, GM, head scout etc.

But observing Michael's "body language" during that last pressure, I'm not so sure. It sure seemed that Michael was signalling that "it was his show" and that he'd be calling the shots (Much more of a hands-on approach than I would have expected).

You don't throw a magic switch and suddenly change from "we're all in this together" to "I'm The Man." Maybe the transformation had been taking place all along before our very eyes.

Just speculation on my part - I've never met Michael and can only base my thoughts on what I see, read or hear from a vantage point 2,000 miles away. But it could explain why Michael wants to pursue Todd - they may be kindred spirits (& Wiz may have merely been doing what the boss told him to do).

Or not.
