He is a vested veteran who will get paid the rest of the year regardless if he is cut or is on the team. Once he played in week one his contract for the rest of the year became 100% guaranteed against injury or being cut. If he is cut the Cards still owe him the rest of the seasons game checks. It isn't like he is keeping someone else who would contribute off the roster. As much as I cant stand the guy, there is no reason to cut him this late in the season.

Concerning Heap I think the guy is a punk. This is something I am being told many in the facility are thinking. He was told to take a pay cut or get cut this past offseason, and while he did it he did not like it one bit. Some in that facility think he is taking his sweet time coming back from this injury because he feels slighted from the pay cut. His reasoning is if the team isn't behind him then why should he put his body on the line for the team. Which is complete crap because he could have just said no and been cut and moved on.

Jurecki alluded to it this past week as well. He also added that Heap thinks the team misdiagnosed his original injury. Which sounds like damage control from the fan backlash to me.

man, did i take a beating in the summer of 2011 for saying Heap and Bradley were completely worthless signings... and then took another beating again for saying Heap would probably be injured again this season.

Not from me. I agreed they were horrible.

At least Bradley had a penalty today and got his name called. I wonder if he'll end up with more tackles or penalties this year?

The Cards are so desperate for a good talent evaluator in the front office, it's ridiculous.
