I've had it with him, and Im sure many of you have had enough to.

Unfortunately, its not who you want for him, it's who you can get for him.

Huge contract removes a ton of options, and BYC status puts it over the top for near impossible restrictions

Post your possible scenarios.

I got nothin'.

I hate to admit it because I was stoked when we signed the guy but I wouldn't mind trading Boris in a package to get something to help this team now.

eh, most of us were completely snowed by Diaw's play in 2006, but I'd love to get rid of his ass for ANYTHING that could remotely help us win it this year, even if it meant getting rid of the ATL pick which I a) don't think will be that high and b) is in a draft that I'm not overly impressed with.

RealGM has both Diaw and Barbosa listed as BYC1 players, which makes both of them virtually untradeable. We would have to have a team more than 4.5 million under the cap to take Diaw.

I just don't see it.

To Nuggets

Diaw + Banks

Smith + Najera

The Nuggets are over the cap, and their incoming salaries would be greater than 125% plus $100,000 of their outgoing salaries. They would need to cut $4,008,148 from the incoming trade value to make that trade successful.

Jandaman, have you read half of the discussion here dealing with how the BYC status makes most trades impossible? Its a crucial piece of info thats needs to be taken into account to have a reply worth reading.

I didnt look at BYC... and its not a final trade proposal... its rough.. approximate.

I tried it on Real GM before, didnt work... I brought it up so maybe someone else can experiment with that proposal, being najera and smith as the main trade acquisition...

Next to impossible

Trade ideas without even bothering with salaries is like mental masturbation without the hope of a happy ending.

just like trade proposals made by fans :p

its fun nonetheless.

Diaw's contract IS pretty hard to trade.

The teams with the salary cap doesnt want a 9/5/5 player for 9 million a year.

He's a 9 Milll 9/5/5 player because Amare and Hill are now playing...if someone is looking for a Point Forward. then it would a great trade for them..im lookin more toward a Eastern Team.

Maybe Toronto. i know B.Colangelo would like him again
who would we get? not sure.
someone to back up Amare or Nash? or fill Diaw's spot?

well....not that its a great trade, but i've found a scenario that works

Diaw/Banks for Hunter/Najera/JR

now, this would be stupid for Denver because they'd be in worse shape than us in the LT department and they are just as cap concious as us. so even thinking of them as a trade partner is not all that practical.

Toronto would have no use for him. he'd be making $9mil and coming off the bench. no dice.

Charlotte though may. May is out for the season along with Morrison. Diaw could fill the void for them. dont know if they'd be interested in taking his contract though long term.

Diaw for Matt Carroll

While the price may not be right, he would be the perfect Garbajosa replacement, who is out indefintiely because his stubborn ass decided to play on a BROKEN LEG. They certainly would have a use for him.

Diaw for carroll would be nice. We could possibly toss banks in there for a bigger trade too, as McGinnis, felton's backup, is probably the only backup pg less useful than banks in the league.

Doesnt work.

But Diaw/Banks/ATL for Reggie Evans, Kyle Korver, and Thaddeus Young works

I watched young in the summer league and was impressed. 6'8, left handed, very quick, fast feet, very smart (4.0 in college) great defender and a great leaper

Evans is a great rebounder, korver is a great 3pt sharpshooter, and young may be better than what we could get with ATL pick next summer.

I would do this in a heartbeat. Not sure why Philly would, though.

Didn't the Suns like Young last summer during workouts?
