How hilarious would it be if he promoted Bettcher... or AMOS?!

This board would have a full on freak out the likes of which we haven't seen since the Monday Night Meltdown!
Bettcher as HC is not all bad...bring in Pegano as DC...and let Goodwin run the O and call plays.

Why does Todd Haley's name come to mind? And, no, I'm not advocating that.
His name immediately came to mine in the offseason when all this talk of BA Palmer & Fitzs last year started then.

I could see it happening no doubt! Sometimes coaches on their 2nd round learn a lot & change some of their ways to make them successful the 2nd time. He won for a bit with a bad QB in KC. Good offensive mind & teams in his past

Here's who would be on my list:
1) David Shaw-would bring toughness, smart discipline offense & defense to the team. My #1 target & has been for several years now! It's gonna probably take a huge contract & some power in the organization to get him out of Stanford.

2) Haley-smart & no BS coach. Coached & ran very good offenses when he had talent.

3) Mike Vrabel-at some point he's going to be the guy somewhere. Knows the game & learned from the master in BB.

4) Matt Patricia-learned from one of the best in BB. DC of some very solid defenses despite limited talent though they've had a dropoff early this season

5) Todd Bowles-possibility if the Jets fade in the last 9 games or a possible trade of draft picks. A no nonsense coach who attacks on defense.

6) Gruden-could Chucky finally get the itch to coach again? Maybe but it's probably going to be a team that has some talent.

I wanted Shanahan the year we got BA and was blown out of the room by people saying he was inexperienced.

I would love David Shaw of Stanford.

Maybe Mark Dantonio, and an even longer maybe for Kevin Sumlin
I'd be all for Shaw. Would kinda prefer an assistant from the NFL, but if they went college Shaw should be towards the top of the list.

This team needs an entire new staff. No holdovers. Goodbye Tyrann, Bethea, Bethel, Buc, Dansby, Rucker, JJ Nelson, John Brown, Niklas, Lupati, Veldheer, Shipley etc....Sorry Fitz...you tried.

Why would Shaw make the jump? Doesn't he have the best gig?

Until confirmed otherwise Arians will be back next year.

Ever heard the saying Money talks & BS walks? Some say in what takes place in the organization & $$$ could be the reason. He's got NFL experience so let's not act like that probably wouldn't be on his radar.

Who thought Chip Kelley or Chewing gum Carroll would've ever made the jump? I know Carrolls teams were under investigation but he was an NFL guy before. Didn't they have great gigs in college? Hmmmm

Outside of looking at coaches - if the organization knew that BA was likely to retire - it would explain the half-ass rebuild that Rugby has been pointing to and the dearth of a roster that Harry is pointing out.

Keim would intentionally avoid longer term contracts (except for Gresham...) knowing that there would be tremendous churn with new staff, why not start with as blank a slate as possible?

But it's coming through Craig Fouhy. So at least he finds whatever the source is credible enough to put it under his name, and I've never had a reason to not trust Fouhy.

Don't know much about Fouhy other than he's on a local news station. Everything else BA has said says otherwise. He finally got a head coaching job & he's going to enjoy it et al.

Of course he's going to refute it. If he's still with the Cards come January, I'll eat crow :)
