Wow. UNLV is really good - especially inside. Great win down the stretch.

Nail biter. Wonder if the prospect of being #1 was looming over the team's head. Missed a ton of open jumpers and easy lay ups.

Made just enough plays to win the game. Embrace #1

I know that Aaron Gordon gets all the national attention...but I've actually been more impressed with Rondae Hollis Jefferson so far this year

Yeeeeeeiiiiiikes. Great win, great team. Close college basketball games end up being an extended heart attack.

Great win at #25 Michigan today. This was definitely a team win and Miller made the right adjustments in the second half.

Was that an intentional FT miss with 1.4 sec left? If so, it seems really hard to hit it off the rim and not let the opponent set up.

Yes it was

He said it was on Twitter his reaction when he missed it didn't act like it, for someone that was missing on purpose he seemed surprised. I guess the idea is hard to rebound and shoot 3/4 court that quickly but if he just makes the shot UA can't lose on a 3 so I'm skeptical he actually was told to miss on purpose.

I didn't get Beilein's strategy at the end at all I thought Miller got the best of him. First off pulling Gordon so no bad FT shooter then how can you have 5 guys to guard 4 and let Nick get the ball so easily when you don't want him shooting FT's?

And then after Albrecht misses the first FT with 6 seconds left knowing the score why would you tell him to make the 2nd one? Even he was surprised he threw his hands up and asked again when Beilein told him to make it. If you miss on purpose maybe you can tip it out and get a 3, by making it you're down 2 and almost hopeless. They fouled and now are down 4 get a gift 3 with no defense and then York gets fouled game over.

Very good win, I have a feeling by the end of the year the young Michigan team will have that 1-3-1 down and be a much better team so it'll look like an even better win than it does now.

Yeah you look at Michigan's roster and there's 3 NBA Draft picks there. That will be a great win come March which will assuredly get them into the San Diego pod. Still have some work to do in order to get Anaheim.

I missed most of the game, how come McGary only played 23 minutes, he only had 3 fouls and the 3rd was with under a minute, was it his back again or were they just better with him off the floor? Seems like if UA was destroying them on the glass that badly they should have played McGary more.

I asked that this morning on the UA scout, com board and was told miller was asked that after the game and said no they didn't tell York to miss on purpose.

So sort of what I assumed, york said on twitter it was intentional but he was either joking or fibbing because his coach said no.

Made no sense if that prayer goes in they lose by 1 point.

Actual paraphrased quote from Miller was no I didn't tell him to miss it but in hindsight it worked out such that I probably should have told him to miss it.

I still say you're better off just making the shot so it's almost impossible to lose in regulation. They'd have to hit a 3 and get fouled to beat you.

McKale Center renovations announced today. Looks pretty nice. Pretty much exactly what I though they'd be able to do without taking off the roof. Main concourse replaced by seating, new concourse enclosed in much of the current exterior concourse footprint. Loge seating added. New scoreboard up by the start of conference play this year. $80 million dollar budget.

More importantly these investments will keep Sean Miller here for at least another decade if not until retirement. Only one or two jobs he'd even consider after this.

I'll make a concerted effort to go to Tucson next season to see the new digs.

With the renovations to all of the major athletic facilities on campus, I'm not sure I'd be able to recognize anything, anymore.

All for the good, though.

This project will be completed in 3 stages each of the next 3 offseasons. You'll likely only see cosmetic exterior changes by next season as they prepare to enclose the exterior concourse.

Back to back undefeated in the non-conference. Not bad at all. 26-0 against non Pac12 teams.

You guys will be #1 coming into Pauley. If UCLA were playing better I'd be predicting a UCLA win but unless Travis Wear gets his head out soon it'll be a double digit UA win. Travis is averaging a rebound every 10 minutes now for about the last 6 games, single biggest issue on a team that doesn't defend or rebound well is having a starting 5 that is rebounding that poorly.

UCLA can run and score but UA's defense will slow them down into a halfcourt and then if they do stop UA, they gotta get the rebound and right now that's just not happening.

UCLA will not have the easy time turning UA over they did last year, because Tj doesn't do the stuff Lyons did when you challenge him, try and win by himself.

But we'll see how UCLA plays the next 2 games, hopefully the team got the wakeup call about playing hard, if not UA will pound them on the O glass.

i still have UA and Oregon in a dead heat. The Ducks are still figuring out their rotation with Artis and Carter back but they're so quick and have so many guys who can make 3's they're going to be tough. Also Utah on paper is extremely underrated.

I was only able to watch the first half, but goodness that defense! I know WSU sucks, but they shot 20% tonight.
