It's no more of a gamble than paying mediocre free agents a boatload of money and hoping they start playing like stars. Which is exactly what we'd be doing with guys like Pashos.

So proven NFL players are not less of a gamble than a guy who hasn't played a single snap in an NFL game?

Both are gambles and I don't care how/where we do it but the damn oline better be upgraded this year or you can forget about winning at all.

"Proven"? How many games has Pashos started?

We are not talking about long-time incumbent veterans. Look at Pashos and Stinchcomb's careers. They've both essentially been a starter for about a year.

I agree that the OL needs improvement. We ALL agree on that. I just don't understand words like "proven" or "upgrade" being applied to free agents who are essentially warm bodies but demanding eight-figure bonuses.

Pashos started the last 23 games and gave up only 6 sacks.

Pashos is an up and coming RT.

Just imagine if we signed Black and passed on Joe Thomas.

I just want to be clear about this: Kyle Turley started ahead of this turd in KC. Turley, who could barely move and showed up at about 260 pounds after major back surgery, was better than Black.

Nope! Turley took over at LT because Black had to be moved to RT. Sampson was terrible at RT and they moved Black there and Turley to LT, since Turley couldn't take over at RT @ 265 lbs.
