The Jazz earned this one.

They played solid defense, got 2nd chance points, and forced turnovers, that usually equals a win. I don't think anyone expected a sweep either way in this series, so it's not much of a surprise.

Still a lot of series left, Lakers go for the split on the road Sunday and hopefully we can put it away at home next week.

Boozer had one of his best games, Okur was money, the Lakers bench did NOT show up, Pau had a horrid game, Fish was in foul trouble, Sasha didn't even shoot I don't think, Kobe's outside game was non-existent, yet the Lakers still had a shot to win this at the end.

I figured we'd lose this game...just too much to overcome. I thought we might steal it though, late. But Boozer was on fire.

The game was well called...letting the physical play go, but the Lakers didn't adjust. They spent the first half worrying about the physical play.

Good showing late.

The Lakers had several shots at stealing this one but the ill advised 3 pt brick by Kobe with a minute plus didn't help or the bad pass by kobe up the air kind of sealed the game. Sundays game is going to be money!

Kobe's long range game hasn't arrived in Utah yet...he was atrocious from long-range today.

I was a bit surprised that Sasha wasn't in during the closing 8 minutes to get another shooter on the floor.

With Farmar unable to guard Deron, I was hoping Kobe would slide to the 3, guard Deron and bring in Sasha to play the 2 in the first half.

Sasha was running his ass off catching screens every turn...and I think Phil got pissed at him for blowing an assignment. I don't think he shot more than once, actually. I haven't looked at the box yet.

Kobe was very business out there, not up or down. He just referenced that in the postgame...saying they just "punch the clock." It's not just you.

It's amazing to me that an elite NBA team like Utah is so much better at home than on the road, I could accept this if it was Memphis or even Atlanta but Utah is an awesome team talent wise. Something is wrong with this team's mental make up.

I agree. this is a team that is hard to figure. sometimes they play very well on the road...other times not. then they rarely lose a home game. it is hard to figure, but not a shock that they won last night. they have to win the next one though.
