I have no idea why or why not. Just know defense never had a good game or play when it needed the most in the second half of the season.

No one reputable may want to work with a coach who may be on the hot seat if VJ is fired.

Three seasons in and they cannot stop the run. No identity. I guess he is an average coach.

So what's next?

I think one thing with him is that when you have a situation like we do now with Covid and a longer season so lots of guys missing, it's harder to just plug guys in to his defense. That first TD was teh classic blown assignment by a CB who hasn't been with us for very long.

Great point, that honestly I didn’t factor in… It’s been difficult enough not to see our first rounders on the field/develop, let alone the the Covid replacements try to immediately step into a scheme that is suppose to apparently take 3 years to learn?

VJ has his warts, but this team has little talent and depth at CB and DL. Corey Peters has no business starting on an NFL team and Murphy is not a CB1. The offense has enough talent to be successful but often fails

Three years and all three years poor run defense. That is coach. That is scheme.

I want to know how much Keim pays the local media to keep his name out of print.

I like Vance Joseph fine
Cannot win without stopping run..just cannot. The defense was fine until the wheels started to come off. Steve Spagnualo out the humpty Dumpty together though Chiefs offense was scoring. VJ never raised to the occasion. Neither did his team, Kyler or Kliff. But not all of it is VJ fault. But where does the issue lie..

No team can stop the run when Zach Allen is your best dlineman

I thought his gameplan last week was great.

I think the one thing is when we need a defensive stop it's amazing how rarely we get it.

In the Rams game Stafford throws a pick and the Rams get a stop to have his back. literally a 3 and out. They won back to back games where he had a bunch of TO's.

3rd and 16 let's have Jones cover Lockett, or the play where the TE is just standing wide open on the sideline etc.

There's just too many plays like that at one point they were 6 for 7 on 3rd down and most of them were long conversions too.

I do get the his defense is too complicated stuff, I just don't buy that part of that is we can't expect a LB to know if it's a run play or a pass play.

Better question is .. do we think Keim and co will make a better hire? I personally don't. I've said before.. I'm tired of blaming the players and coaches. Same ole song.

Bingo Russ!

And yes he had a great game plan last week because VJ did numerous things hadn’t done much off, with different personnel (Zaven, Victor, etc) & it confused Dak. We saw very little of that today. Mmmm

Keim is not going anywhere.

There is nothing to confuse anyone when running the ball is successful. Play action is unstoppable when they cannot stop the run..Dallas doesn't do a lot of play action

To further illustrate how bad we are at scheming for players strengths the Seahawks had nkemdiche playing and actually making plays. What kills me is the soft 3 man rush coupled with zones that let Russ move around and find the open guy. It was just like the Detroit game.

I am agitated more than usual today and but my mind cannot remember a game where defense took over the game when offense was struggling to deliver a win.in second half of season. Is there a game like that ?

I don't think there will be any coaching changes with the Cards staff in the off season unless they are very minor. Injuries and Covid-19 really hurt the Cards. The roster will be facing some changes with free agency especially the Chandler Jones contract issue.
