The high school girls basketball season in Lafayette Parish, and its surrounding area, has officially come to an end.
Only one team hailing from the 337 came away with a state title this year in Lafayette Christian Academy, which won the LHSAA Select Division III championship. Outside of the Knights, 23 other area teams tested their luck in the postseason representing the elite hoopers who call 337 home.
With the season done, and the dust settled, we want to hear from the fans.
Who has been the top girls basketball player throughout the 2024-25 season? Time to have your voice heard. Thirty area players have been placed on the ballots voting for the first-ever Daily Advertiser’s Readers Choice Girls Basketball Player of the Year.
Players were selected based on the information available to The Daily Advertiser such as MaxPreps stats, rankings, the Daily Advertiser’s Top 15 list, and the Midseason Player of the Year list. Voting will end on March 24 and the winner will be announced in a separate story.
There are no voting restrictions, so vote now and vote often.
