A squished implant. She should get a refund or some new ones.

You gotta be kidding me? People wear flag stuff all the time. That doesn't show disrespect!!!!What are you talking about?

Are you serious? It is only a symbol. He didn't mean it to be offensive and he certainly didnt disrespect anything.
It is not the act of him wearing a piece of cloth it is his intentions, and his intentions were not to disrespect "YOUR" country, but quite the opposite.
I assume you would be just as pissed if he wore an actual american flag shirt? Or was it because it was the flag?
How about the hundreds of flags that are burned daily by the governemnt in attempt to get rid of worn or tattered ones.? Is that offensive as well?

Um, hello, he defaced the flag. He didn't wear a flag shirt. HE SLIT A HOLE THROUGH THE MIDDLE OF THE F-ING FLAG!!!

Because it was the flag.
Yes, the government burns hundreds of flags daily. No, that's not offensive. It isn't disrespect, and it is done properly. It is the proper way to dispose of a flag. You know, as in the tradition that if our flag touches the ground, it should be burned (though it's not always followed and I'm not THAT harsh of a stickler).
Are you a proponent of defacing the flag? I am not. I find it gross and inexcusable, and I will not personally abide it.
I suppose you are in favor of burning flags, then?

Yes, he did cut a slit in the flag, but he also played in front of
7, 000 soldiers in 132 degree weather in a un-air conditioned hanger at Baghdad International Airport. I think he was wearing that flag with more pride than a lot of Americans do.

Oh my god! Thank you so much for saying this, you beat me to it. Kid Rock is extremely patriotic, the anti-Susan Sarandon. That guy has done more free shows for us servicemen than any entertainer I know of (in my time anyway).
His show at the Baghdad Airport was an amazing display of how much he cares. It was un-godly hot in there, sweat was rolling of him, and he stayed and talked to the troops, shook hands, posed for pictures etc. I love the guy. That wasn't the first time he's done that sort of thing either. The flag wearing thing didn't bother me in the least, if anything I thought it was a display of his patriotism.

It is the biggest sporting event in the United states and to me, he was being a partiot, not disrespectful!

You're right, it is a big venue...and wearing a defaced flag would certainly draw more attention to himself. It sure looked like a 'look at me' act, and not a 'patriotic' act.
If he was trying to be patriotic, he's pretty stupid. He'd have to NOT realize that defacing a flag isn't generally considered the most patriotic thing you can do American flag shirt? Sure. Cutting up an actual flag so you can wear it on national TV? Uh, no.

We will just have to disagree.
I see it as a piece of cloth and his intentions behind it were of patriotism, not disrespect.
Had he burned the flag, I could see your point. (Although still wouldnt agree with it) but in this case, to me, it was all very harmless!

The only thing I knew about Kid Rock was that he looks (and to me, on TV, acts) like trailer park trash

And actually, to all those who mentioned his efforts for the troops...I didn't know that. The only thing I knew about Kid Rock was that he looks (and to me, on TV, acts) like trailer park trash and I don't like his music. Then, last night, he defaces the American flag. That's all I knew.
I give him huge props for doing that for the troops. It was huge to us when the Gin Blossoms came over to Bosnia for a concert back in the day. Those guys were great. I'll give him a for all of that, and not judge him harshly for his public persona.
Still, that doesn't give him a pass for the idiocy he showed last night.

I understand and appreciate your point on defacing the flag and that there probably is something else that he could of worn that would have been in better taste...
But at the same time I guess I was supporting his intentions (not his actions if you can separate the two). My brother is home on 2 weeks leave and showed us some videos he made from over there - one was from the show kid rock put on that he was taping for some buddies that couldn't be there for it. I wasn't really a fan before - I have a new found appreciation for him....and believe that there was no intention to be disrespectful in his choice of showing support during half time. So I just had to throw that in there.

I know. It didn't seem as if his intentions were good, but it's a bit better if they were. Still, the road to hell is paved with good intentions. I'm just one of those vets who gets VERY peeved when something like this happens. I'm very modern, but I still have some very old school beliefs.

Lol...uh, I mean, ow! Yeah, damn, ow, that hurt!
Okay, so perhaps his intentions were good. I just think it was a really stupid idea. Do something else, or wear a flag shirt. Just don't do surgery on the old Stars and Stripes.
