We’ll, Kliff said today they are going to “be smart” with both Edmonds & Conner this week, suggesting they both might not play on Sunday

You got to agree. We still can beat The Seahawks and of course we all want to win. However we all know the big game is in 2 weeks.

No doubt but a couple of things need to happen to get there.
True, but with the division potentially on the line there is so much to play for.

I feel like with Eno or Ward in the backfield our offense becomes too one dimensional and beating Seattle may be too much to ask.

Also, doesn’t seem like the the offense has really had all that much time to gel again after the injuries and bye.

Seattle put 51 points on the Lions who beat us bad

We are still lacking a consistent pass rush and we give QB's way too much time to get comfortable

With VJ's soft D Wilson could have a field day

This will not be an easy game and Seattle will be fired up since they want to save face

Another home game where we don't know how we will play

AZ sports says

Averaging four yards per carry on its way to 127 rushing yards, a platoon of rushers led by running back Chase Edmonds and Murray were able to get enough going on the ground to open up more in the passing game.

Arizona’s 32 carries were the most since its Week 13 win over the Chicago Bears (35). In the previous three losses, the Cardinals ran the rock no more than 22 times.

The established run game, paired with the team’s stinginess in the turnover department, translated into a successful time of possession battle for Arizona, controlling the football for nearly 35 minutes.

The best way to stop one of the hottest offenses in the game is to keep it off the field.

Not to mention this is likely the swan song for both Pete and Russ. They’ll be going out on a high note, I promise.

Perspective…Dallas put up 52 against the WFT. We shut them down in the first half. Our pass rush always have a good game against Russ. Chan will feast.

I don’t care, rest who needs resting, some of our best talent has been rested by injury and covid, ertz, Conner, chase, Buddha. CC all could use some rest before playoffs. I want to be hitting on all cylinders- maybe even get a surprise return for the playoffs. Hop or watts!

Even with their season going nowhere, you can bet we'll have tons of 12th Man "fans" filling our home stadium with their ugly "SEA" - "HAWK" chants.

With a win, we can be .500 at home. Pathetic.

Yep. Rooting for this team is mentally, physically, and emotionally exhausting.

I did have a small 'Christmas Miracle' and became aware of how I was too emotionally involved. I took your advice and stayed away from the game day thread and that was the right thing to do, for me at least. I managed to watch the game even keeled. Thanks for the advice!

If it's there for the taking, I WANT the NFC West title. Especially since it's the best division in football. I've never been a fan of resting players, unless it's absolutely necessary. It's one thing if we were locked into our seed, but we're not. Come playoff time, I'd still rather play a home game, because regardless of what our home record was this year, historically the Cardinals have played extremely well at home in the playoffs. It's a different animal once the playoffs start.

Dont play Edmonds or Conner. This is Eno's chance to prove he's worth keeping around next year. If he can't at least look competent after 2 years on the team, then he will be gone.

We will win or lose based on our run defense. If Seattle runs all over us, they will win. If we can make them one dimensional and tee off on Russ then we have a chance to win.

The one thing that will piss me off is if Seattle, a non playoff team, comes out with "more the play for" than we do...meaning more fire and heart because of a possible rebuilding scenario.

We actually have A LOT to play for. Its very likely the 49ers win. We can win the division and have a home playoff game for the first time under this regime. If our guys can't get up for this game I think it will say a lot about Kliff.

Historically the first 18 week season, when I started watching it was 12 and yes dudes still had full juice left - but they played in preseason - a lot ! So their first game out in a season they were much closer to potential then the modern game. Sometimes don’t know what a team has till 25% of the season is gone.
just imagine it in hours 36 hour regular season compared to 51 then add in practice and playoffs. 5 extra weeks is 200 hours at 40 a week, and what team really does that?

Bobby Wagner is out which is a huge loss for the Seahawks. I would go with Eno and Ward and let Chase and Conner rest. I would hope that the pass rush can get to Wilson and harass him all day.

All that being said, I like the Cards 28-21 in this one. Regaining home mojo.

I actually am good with resting the RB's we need them in the playoffs. Too bad the Rams don't play earlier than us so we know the outcome but I think that we should try to win but try to get some rest for key guys. I would not feel badly at all if we get an early lead and turn it over to Colt McCoy, Eno and the backups.

Obviously though as long as the Rams game is close we need to try and win our game
