Some thoughts for all the nay-sayers on this board.
Offensively, this is what we have lacked since Boldin left. He is a taller, faster, Anquan Bodlin, who can also go up for the ball, AND who plays on the side of the field opposite Larry Fitzgerald. He is not yet a fluid route runner, but he will be working with Larry Fitzgerald as his mentor to learn how to play this position. What he lacks in fluidity right now, he already makes up for with his ability to out muscle press coverage for position. He is also a skilled downfield blocker, (ala Fitz).
Yes, he has had some off field problems with alcohol, but with Fitz mentoring him, it is almost like having a safety line tied to Fitz. I'm sure that Fitz will be all about teaching him how to be a responsible man along with showing him how to run routes. In actuality, there is probably not a better team for Floyd to have come to than AZ. Peer pressure is a wonderful tool, especially when used for good purposes. The fact that Fitz is considered by most to be 'elite' at their position, speaks volumes in my opinion. Just as Chris Carter taught Fitz, so will Fitz teach Floyd. This seems to be a win/win situation for all concerned. Everybody gets better, and the Cards reap the benefits.
