We're not sleeping on this one (vs. Rams).

Oddsmakers are simply in the business of sucking money out of punters, spreading the risk, and collecting the vig.
But they have set odds in a way that drives money. The only way to do that is to create odds that would sway more people - so if they favored the TD that would mean conventional thinking must also do so. Ah this is kinda silly as it’s an exercise in conjecture.

Be honest when we lined up to kick it did you not think to yourself if he misses short Agnew might run this all the way back?

I know I did.

Apparently the FG unit didn't consider it either

We are speaking specifically of a return of a missed FG for a TD.

I can find Cromartie at 109, my mistake, and no one else.

Those are all missed FGs returned for TDs. They certainly weren't 68 yard attempts. Most were high 50s.

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Just call the Chicago Bears the best team in the NFC -- and the New York Giants red-faced for falling asleep on a record-tying 108-yard missed field goal return by Devin Hester.

Hester fooled the Giants by standing in the back of the end zone for several seconds, then ran down the right sideline on his knockout-blow return as the Bears rallied for a 38-20 victory against the injury-ravaged Giants in their NFC showdown last night.

On Nov. 13, 2005 -- almost exactly a year ago -- the Bears' Nathan Vasher caught Joe Nedney's missed 52-yard field-goal attempt in the back of the end zone on the final play of the first half and ran it back for a 108-yard touchdown return. The play helped Chicago beat San Francisco, 17-9, and now Hester shares the record for longest NFL play with his teammate.

I didn't even catch Nedney's so I guess we are the 8th time it is has happened.

And it has happened in the NFL before.

The first one is a 109 return.

The second one was the Bears / Cardinals against Brucie.

The third one is Devin Hester on Sunday Night Football.

The 4th one is Tampa against the Lions.

The 5th one is Devin Hester for 108 yards

The 6th one was the Ravens Chris McCalister against the Broncos

So we were lucky number 7.

Nostra something

Antonio Cromartie did it too I think for the Chargers?

WIKI can be edited by literally anyone. It is not a reliable source for information.

I am showing you news articles and game video.

I've looked at other sources. These are the 109's.

Perhaps a 109 in an initial report/video was later downgraded to a 108?

I recall, perhaps faulty, a long Aeneas return from the end zone for a TD that was later downgraded.

That was a fumbles recovery against the former Redskins. Stephen Davis.

These games are why JJ Watt and AJ Green were signed. I look for both of them to have a big impact. Chandler Jones too.

Look how good the Cards played in their only other big game, on the road in Tennessee. They’ll definitely be ready.

McVay took over a 4 win team with the 32nd ranked offense. Jared Goff was worse than Rosen before he got there.

I believe that team really underperformed under Jeff Fisher.

The roster was loaded with a lot of talented names in McVay's first season including:

-Jared Goff (Pro Bowl that season)
-Todd Gurley (Pro Bowl and Offensive Player of the Year that season)
-Cooper Kupp
-Robert Woods
-Sammy Watkins
-Tyler Higbee
-Andrew Whitworth (Pro Bowl that season)
-Roger Saffold
-Michael Brockers
-Aaron Donald (Pro Bowl and Defensive Player of the Year that season)
-Robert Quinn
-Alec Ogletree
-John Johnson

Plus they had Wade Phillips as DC who I think has always been one of the best in that role. Like I said, Sean McVay was obviously the x-factor in unlocking all this talent, but it wasn't like he was taking over the Jet's roster.

I actually think we're going to have to run the ball to win this game. If you watched the Cowboys last night and GB against SF both teams when the defense was 2 high safeties they ran the ball or threw underneath. When they made 1 safety walk up or in the case of SF when SF went man, they threw the ball. As K9 said the Rams on defense are determined to not give up big plays so we can throw but Kyler can't get greedy forcing the ball downfield he has to take the layups. And in that situation many of those layups are going to be runs.

I do think we're going to have to do more stuff with Rondale, jet sweeps etc to stretch their defense. I see a middle screen to Maxx, TB ran one for a TD to Gronk in an earlier game they ran the exact same play against the rams and the LB basically tackled Gronk and got away with it so Brady couldn't get him the ball. I think it's something the Rams do on defense that leaves that play open at times.

TB lost because they couldn't stop the Rams and because they couldn't run the ball early they got frustrated and started throwing more which worked until they got down 2 scores and then it really didn't. Brady is the master of getting it out early to stop the pass rush, Kyler is going to have to do that if you hold it against this team you're not going to get huge plays downfield anyways you have to take the open guys don't get greedy.

Brady played really well and still ONLY put up 24 the Rams are good.
If you “ take what the defense gives you” you’re playing right into the Rams game plan and going to lose.
We need to play Cardinals football. We have the speed and the talent to go over the top on that defense. Kliff is never going to beat mcvay until they learn to take what they want from that defense.... conservative dink and dunk leads you right into a short field in the red zone that’s easier to defend and that’s exactly where the Rams want you... then they clamp down and attack and you end up kicking field goals instead of scoring touchdowns

I'm not saying you don't I'm saying if they have 6 or 7 in the box you have to be able to run against it because it will force them eventually to bring another defender into the box allowing you to throw more. Brady is the GOAT, he threw 55 times against them without a pick. I love Kyler but if he throws 55 passes against that defense without a couple of mistakes I'm going to be surprised, they're too good and he's not Brady he hasn't seen everything a million times already.

You want to put him in situations to excel and that can mean if they are light in the box, run the ball. Make them bring people up and then throw it.

I can agree with that. Maybe this is the game where they decide to not focus on containing Kyler..... I don’t tend to want a running qb but if that kid can go off on a few scrambles that can bring up the defense too

To state the obvious:
Cardinals have to avoid turnovers, score TDs not FGs when they get to the Red Zone and slow down Stafford to some extent.

The fact that the Cardinals have added speed since last season helps. I'd like to see Andy Isabella get some snaps.

Welp, nearly 11, I doubt I'll be able to post much in the morning or afternoon... so.

My call stands as is. We beat the Rams, go 4-0, and take a decisive lead in the NFC West. The team plays with more passion than we've seen in years. Our new elite center helps lead the charge with the rearranged OL, and stymies Aaron Donald.

As a Vegas guy, I'm taking the over, but we find a way.
