Twitter word is that SD was about to sign him to their 53, and Cards beat them to the punch.

Two year deal.

Drew Butler's income per hour worked must be pretty impressive.

Interesting, we will be stocking our RBs like we stock our OLBs apparently.

a rb could be cut to make room for a pass rusher
they know is the weakest position
and they try as much as they can to find a good player who fit well in bowles defense
not easy cause nobody let good pass rushers go
but a trade could be happen
we need someone who can put pressure on manning or he gonna kill our defense

The signing of RB Marion Grice is a direct reflection on the lack of production from RB Stepfan Taylor, also struggled in the preseason.

Interesting, I consider Taylor the Jim Dray of our RB crew...don't let me down Kulabafi!

Man, Butler has to be the most signed, waved guy I have seen on the Cards ever. How much does he get paid? Do they pay him per game or per month? How does that work?

For real. Kulabafi replaced Jim Dray as the lower-middle bottom of the roster player that I inexplicably defended and promoted.

No surprise at all. I was saying before the season started (in a convo with Mitch), that Taylor was not long for this team and brought minimal to zero value...
I see Grice in the same light...

Our backup RBs offer nothing to this team. I was one of the ones that wondered why we did not do more in the offseason to upgrade the RB position. I wanted us to take Hyde in the 2nd over Niklas.

He gets paid for each week, so about 20K for each week we was signed if he is getting the min, which is likely.

Why not wait until next year and draft like Melvin Gordon instead. He or Yeldon should be there when we pick.

Because next year they only are allowed to draft LBs. No other position in any round but LB. :D

Uh oh - sounds like RB controversy is stirring up:

Grice was cut and put on the practice squad. He must remain on the Cardinals’ 53-man roster for at least three weeks, but he seems probable to last much longer with the team. Goodwin came away impressed at the end of Tuesday’s practice when Grice went out on a wheel route and hauled in a pass one-handed.

“He’s going to bring a lot to the table,” Goodwin said. “We are fortunate enough we have a lot of good backs.”
