I didn't realize Lonzo was included.

Well my idea was about lonzo - Jrue is making 26 million - so that would have to be Josh and Johnson - but Gambo already shot down the idea the suns are trading for Jrue.

Sometimes I think much of the media doesn't know much more than we do until it happens.

I think you missed something in the conversation. That was about Kidd not Ball.

You're right, I thought you were talking about Ball but I see he was only mentioned briefly before the Kidd talk took over.

I really don't get the fascination with Ball though. It seems like some people think he's more of the player that Lavar says he is than who he's actually been in the NBA so far.

The interest in ball is potential based. He’s a good passer and defender and rebounder (for his position). Everything else is based on potential (hmm sounds like JJ - minus hot boxing his 4 month old daughter).

So the plan according to Bickley on his show, and Jon Gambadoro who came on Bickley's show, is tonight if by some miracle Garland makes it to the Suns at 6, the Suns will trade the pick. Garland is expected to be gone by 4. No one knows what will happen at 5 now. Gambo is expecting Coby White to be the pick. If White is gone then it is Hunter next on the pecking order. Gambo says he expects the Suns pick to be White. Aside from the draft, his feeling is THE PLAN is pick White, get a vet along the lines of those four guys he said earlier BUT NOT LIMITED to those four. A Ricky Rubio, or someone he doesn't know could be the vet PG. That will be a two year player who will mentor White. Then a PF will be picked up. So the plan that Bickley and Gambo has sussed out from Suns sources is Rookie PG, Vet PG, and PF pick up. As Bickley pointed out, the plan is good depending on the names they put in those slots.

I think that is pretty much what most of us are expecting. The only questions are who are going to be the vet PG and PF, and what are we going to surrender of value to chase them.

If the vet PG and vet PF are halfway decent (which would have to be better than Rubio, who is not halfway decent), I could live with that, though I would still hate to pass on Hunter.

Bickly kind of went through names and they eliminated too expensive names, names who will be picked up by playoff teams, and they kind of came up with Coby White, Ricky Rubio, and Thaddeus Young as probably who they could afford and actually get to come to Phoenix. But that was just guessing. No Suns info.

Yeah, that is awful. Nobody should be satisfied with that.

I would be fine with Rubio and Young. That's a legitimate NBA point guard, and a legitimate NBA power forward. Suns future is up to Booker, Ayton, and to some degree Bridges and Oubre. Outside of those guys, they just need legitimate NBA players. Suns looked good last year when Johnson got used to everything and everyone else was healthy.

I would rather have Holiday and Randle, but Rubio and Young are at least legitimate NBA players. Assuming they retain Oubre and Holmes (or replace Holmes), they would have eight legitimate NBA players (not counting Warren who would likely need to be dumped in order to get the space for both Rubio and Young). Rubio, Johnson, Booker, Bridges, Oubre, Ayton, Holmes, Young. Melton is probably a legitimate NBA player as a third point guard/ defensive specialist.

Rubio/ Johnson/ Melton
Booker/ Bridges/ Johnson
Oubre/ Bridges
Young/ Bender?/ Oubre?
Ayton/ Holmes (or his replacement)

That's not a playoff contender, but it is an actual NBA team right off the bat.

Right now the discussion by Gambo, or maybe Bickley, they were discussing if the Suns want to move on from JJ, it will probably cost a draft pick, money, a player, or maybe all three, or combination of those extras.

Let's trade Warren because he reportedly doesn't want to be here and see what happens with Jackson. I wouldn't want to give up assets to move him.

Well, in that case, they can waive him, stretch him, let his contract expire. I am mostly done with JJ, and I would be OK dumping him for cap space, but no way in hell am I losing any assets in order to dump him.

From everything inanimate hearing he is gone and Warren to Mavs or Pacers
Bickley was Grim Reaper on this one too. He said he called both clubs and they say they have no interest in Warren. He knows Suns fans hate him right now.

Agreed. That's ridiculous. As idiotic as the Suns might be, I can't imagine they are that idiotic.
