With all the awareness regarding injuries, especially long term physical and mental disabilities, and the fact we now live in the 21st century as far as science goes, we should and will be cloning our athletes before long. There is no reason to send any person out their to absorb that much punishment each week. Before this century is up, players clones will be suited up in their place. We will see clones of players being created in a lab and sent out to entertain us each week. Their whole existence will be to work out, get bigger, stronger, and faster, and will take the place of the "original" person only at game time.

IF the Cards were smart, they would get in front of this now. It would be wonderful as fans of the Cards for us to be dominating the first few years that the league completely goes to this. Hopefully, we won't be one of the last and fall behind as usual.

Just think, while they are still alive, we could acquiring the DNA/genes of Jim Brown, Joe Montana, Jerry Rice, etc to begin building our future team with. I am sorry I won't be here to see it.

Hopefully, your clone will get to enjoy it for you.

Steve

There is not a QB in the draft that could perform behind this oline. This year would have been it. Luck is that good, and RGIII mobile enough.

OT/OG/C is all we should be drafting, AND it should be a priority in FA as well. If you are right, and Kolb sucks so hard that even with a better Oline, then we'll be drafting high the following year. Only then we'll have an improved line for whichever first round QB we select, and continue to build his line.

We've got a window on this defense being dominant, and we don't have time to ignore the oline trying to hit the jackpot with a mid-first rounder at QB.

That's a much

If this franchise doesn't focus on upgrading the offensive line in the off season everybody should be fired. I mean coaching and players. Look what having a good offensive line (players and coaching) did for the Giants in SF on Sunday. The running game sucks. It is hard to see how it improves without an offensive line upgrade.

Nobody seems to recall him not signing an extension until he thought (incorrectly as it turns out) that we had a long-term solution in Kolb.

There's a big difference between not signing an extension and not fulfilling the current terms of your contract. Totally expect the former, but the latter is simply not in Fitz's character.

Wislon then Wilson then Wilson. Best QB I have seen come out of Arkansas in many years and an SEC standout against some of the best teams in the nation.

That's not really a selling point to me. After Joe Ferguson and Ryan Mallett, I can't think of another Arkansas QB that mattered in the NFL. He looks like Phillip Rivers II to me.

I don't think Dan Marino would've had time to make a read and get rid of the ball in this offense. Kurt Warner would've been broken in two by now.

I don't think any current QB is the QB of the Future. I do firmly stand on Kolb as the QB of Right Now, which I think of as the next two years. After this season he still has three years left on his $56 million contract. Even with a buyout, you have salary cap issues.

Unless the Cards have the first pick in the draft and they have their eyes set on a no-doubter, they have to address the BIGGER HOLE, which is right and left tackle. That way, if/when they do get a true franchise QB, he might make it 8 games without needed a surgeon.

unless there's a Kalil type player available at our pick, I'd rather trade down for a late 1st and another 2nd or something like that and use em all on the OL

I stopped reading other people's posts about 8 pages ago. Now I'm just trying to convince Mulli that he's wrong, because that's just fun to do.

If I relent, is it ok, if I don't watch until the Cards gain 300 yards on offense again?

1st round QB
2nd round OL
3rd round TE
4th round OL
5th round RB

Do you really think this team will draft 3 OL players? They will probably only draft one in the first 3 rounds, get Levi Brown back and pick up 1 or 2 average veterans in free agency. The offensive line this year is like the worst ever but at least the young players get experience in.

There's no right or wrong way to do it. Regarding current young successful QB's the Skins and Colts drafted their OT before their QB, but Minnesota got Ponder before drafting an OT with their first pick overall this year.

I agree you need them both, but this franchise needs a shot in the arm now. And I vehemently disagree on Kolb/Skelton as the right now guys even with a good line, the team will be lost by then if we run those jokers out there another year.
