I like Kieff but you say that Lee is a poor man's Love. So what's Kieff? Poor man's Rasheed Wallace?
Markieff is a rich man's Channing Frye as he is not reluctant to play inside.

Oh, there's a lot more bad things about him that that. I like his up-side too but he's a long ways from being anything close to an impact player in the NBA. If you thought Gortat was soft around the rim wait till you watch this guy play.

Isn't Love soft at finishing around the rim as well? He doesn't really dunk very often does he?
I saw via Facebook that the Lakers are reportedly trying to acquire Klay Thompson in exchange for their 7th pick in a 3-way deal that would send Kevin Love to the Warriors.
Not gonna happen. Any trade with Minnesota sending Love to GS, Klay Thompson will be coming back in return. I can't imagine any GM valuing the #7 pick over Thompson.
Agreed. But I don't know what concerns Minnesota might have over swapping one soon to be free agent for another. Klay is an RFA next year and that might be reducing his value a little.
Steve
While that's true, he will be restricted. My guess is Lakers called and said, "Hey, if you guys are worried about his not wanting to be in Minn. than we'll give you the #7 and take him." I'm pretty sure that was followed by a click and a dial tone.
It's being reported that Kerr doesn't want Thompson included in a trade. Won't be a good start if you trade away part of the team your new coach wants to keep together. Without Thompson as a part of that trade, pretty sure it's dead.
One difference (among many) with our new GM is a lack of trade rumors. Both last off season and so far this. I'm used to hearing all kinds of crazy rumors about the Suns, but it's been very hush hush. While that's a good thing, it's driving me nuts wondering what is going on. Wonder what McD has cooking??
Has anyone besides me starting to get déjà Vu to the days before the Bledsoe trade? There was a bit of rumbling among us, but I don't remember there being anything substantial until the trade happened. That feeling is starting to happen again with Love and Melo.
Yep. You could have something happen completely out of the blue.

The new regime runs tight ship. It seemed like some of the previous GMs followed up every trade proposal with a call to some local media turd.
I don't know if it's been hopeful optimism on my part but I've been thinking the same thing. The current front office doesn't seem to have the leaks of previous regimes.
Its a nice change of pace from our baseball team, whos GM screams to everyone who will listen exactly what he is hoping to do... then somehow ends up backed into a corner in negotiations. Strange.
I thought the Towers method was to have everybody in the organization bad mouth a player for a year then when their value hits rock bottom start making calls.
Could Minnesota say no to Dragic, Morris twins and their pick back?
Pekovic/Dieng
Morris/#13 Payne (rumored target)
Morris/Brewer/Buddinger
Dragic/Martin
Rubio/Barrea
Suns would end up with
Len/Plumlee
Love/Frye
Lebron/Tucker
Green/Goodwin
Bledsoe/
a few million still in capspace, #14, #18 and #27 and some veteran FAs like Ray Allen lining up to fill the roster..
they could and they would say no to that
Why? That's better than any proposed offer out there, including the GS deal.
