Question, why do some of you want Jeff Fisher?
SB coach with character. Also, he doesn't sell-out one side of the ball for the other. He's fairly balanced whrn it comes to gameplanning and philosophy.

Why don't you want him?

I like Fisher. I like Bratkowski. I love Ron Turner, OC-CHI. I know no one wants retreads, but I like the DC for the Redskins, as well. I like Mike Heimerdinger (still).

He was HC for Buffalo, right? He didn't have much to work with there so I wonder if he can be a good HC or if he's strictly a coordinator.

Well, he pretty much runs the Redskins defense by himself over there. He's an Asst. HC/DC. Everyone else focuses on the offense.

We're stuck between a rock & a hard place. We've had every kind of coach out there & still no success. One thing that's different is that this team has far more talent than the previous failures. Green was an awful coach, but he did manage to positively effect our roster. The next guy that comes in here will have something to work with (except of course, the OL). I like Dick Vermeil a LOT. He's taken over 3 real crappy teams (Phila, St L, KC) & turned them into dominant teams. I just don't know if he wants to come out of retirement again. I don't care how old he is, he ALWAYS has the fire in his belly. Turning this franchise around would the greatest coaching accomplishment in the history of sports. He has won wherever he has gone & in every situation he started with lousy teams. He's the ideal candidate.

You know who would be a good candidate? The DC for the Ravens. The Ravens' last DC turned into a really good Head Coach in Marvin Lewis. Let me look up who that is... Oh, Rex Ryan. Nevermind... :bang:

Ding, ding, ding...

Lets wait and see what happens. No more Fassels, Norv Turners of the wrold. Need someone who is firey, offensive minded, and, as stated, a budget for good assistants.

Please PLEASE Oh god say no to Norv Turner Bidwill!!!!!!!!! If that happens I'm moving!!!!!!!!

I have little faith in them to find what we need. Fisher would be ideal IMHO as I agree with some of the posts so far, he is balanced, and knows how to "make adjustments". Denny G has no clue on making adjustments in game, which is SAD to say the least.

1. Fisher (Ahead by alot on my ballot)
2. Rivera - DC Chicago
3. Nobody else is ringin my bell atm.

Both Fisher and Gruden look like they can keep their jobs. The rookie quarterbacks and the fact that they both started to win some games will earn them another year. If Gruden is fired we should snap him up. He knows how to deal with ownerships, Al Davis, and did well in Oakland and Tampa Bay. I’m not sold on Fisher though. Seems like the Titans have been rebuilding for quite a while now though I suppose I could deal with him getting the job. I would like to look at some assistants though but agree that the Bidwill’s would probably mess up.

Bob Bratkowski OC with the Bengals. 51 years of age has an impressive resume in both the pro's and college (was OC at Miami U). Very strong offensive minded coach.

Absolutely no college coach. Not one of those recent hires has been successful.
All of the good up and coming Coordinators were taken last year. Kubiak, Linehan, Sean Payton.

Here's another name I'm going to throw into the hat. Granted, he's not quite the hot shot coordinator name most are throwing around, but what about Tim Lewis, defensive coordinator of the Giants?

We need Boomer Eisason. We need a SHARP ELBOWS guy who doesn't take any mediocre nonsense. "He puts the fear of God in you" (former NFL player) And he wasn't even a coach at the time!

This would be a great idea except that Boomer wouldn't piss on the Bidwills if they were on fire. Much less work for them.

Mike Tice.

Got screwed over in Minnesota by the new owner. Inherited Denny's mess. Cleaned house and drafted well. He is sitting in Jax as OC / assistant head coach.

Could bring in his own staff. Ready to go.

Hell no, sorry but no way should Meathead be a head coach in the NFL.

Jeff Fisher has been the Titans coach since we hired Buddy Ryan. He's obviously done something right. Great drafts put his team in the playoffs just about every year. Recently, cap hell hit and they had to gut the team. Give him a better talent base, and he's back in the playoffs again.

Dick Vermeil would be great, he's been a winner everywhere, but I just don't see a coach of that caliber coming to the Cardinals. I feel the same about Fisher.

Jim Haslett had a good Saints team in the playoffs for a couple of years. I'd look to bring him in too.

Mike Tice runs a moronic offense IMO. It wouldn't surprise me if he punted on 3rd down. I wouldn't want him here.

A Norv Turner hiring would make me burn all my cards jerseys.

I'm not a big fan of Clancy Pendergast's defensive philosophy, and I wouldn't want to see him as a head coach yet. I'd like to see his defensive schemes develop a little more. Soft corner schemes don't work well in the NFL. Mix coverage & get in a WR's face. I do think his defense would be much improved if we had a solid #1 CB on the team and some competent tacklers at the linebacker spots.

just my thoughts on the matter.

Dick Vermeil is 90 years old.
Jeff Fisher isn't available. I think.
Redskins haven't won since Turner left there.
Haslett is a whack job who couldn't win while Sean Payton can.
Mike Tice actually won with Green's leftovers.

How about Marc Trestman? Brilliant mind, plenty of pro experience, who has been screwed over and would coach for a fraction of Green's salary. Card's have offensive talent, so need an offensive HC to win soon.
