Players that missed one of the few chances they will have to be noticed and make it in the NFL had a bad game. There were quite a few of them, naming them brings me no pleasure.

As far as the starters and vets that underachieved I will say that my biggest concern was the lack of a running game and adequate pass blocking. Something was wrong on the O-Line and it was more than one player and on more than one play.

Continuity & chemistry Dan, it's going to take time. 4 of the 5 are new starters or changing positions.

That's what I think. I still believe this unit might be the best we have ever had, but we didn't see it tonight.

Roberts is very Raw, very raw...with the way WIlliams (the WR) looks makes me wish cards would used the pick on another LB...

This. Roberts along with Calvin were my WTF reactions to the Cardinals draft. Calvin gets a pass because he was a 6th rounder. Hindsight is 20/20 so Williams' development was not clear at the time, but Eric Norwood was still on the board all the way up until late in the 4th but would have been a perfect candidate for our SIILB or at least a back up option.

Other guys that stunk it up:

- To be specific regarding the OL, like the consensus, Brandon Keith. Some mentioned giving him a pass because he went up against Mario Williams, well it won't get any easier. We play against some top notch pass rushers this year so he better get it into gear.

- CB's not named Greg Toler. Miller got smoked on the AJ touchdown reception, was like 5 steps behind him. Toler & DRC need to remain healthy all year for us to have any chance at the playoffs.

- Feely, clear downgrade from Rackers, nuf said.

- Anderson, costly TO's and awful touch on his throws almost cost us the game.

Let's talk about a nuance.
The name is Leinart!

It bugs me too. Lianart sucks! Lionheart is crap! Lienart, bah that guy. Pooh on Leenart.

FFS, if you don't know his name or can't spell it, it is hard for me to take your diss on him with confidence.

Brandon Keith. But he was going up against Mario Williams, so he gets a pass. For now.

Yeah that was the definition of 'blown up'.

I had to laugh at that, then be impressed when you see what big boy was blown up. Mario can blow by you or bull rush you. After seeing this he's got top notch skills both ways.

Andre Roberts. Watching all these other WR's, I think there is a much greater chance than normal that a guy picked this high is cut. He very well may be an NFL receiver, but maybe not on THIS team. We'll see. But he's gotta sack it up and do better next game. I do not see there is a way he continues doing nothing and makes this team. He has to do some positive things or imho he's gone. But maybe they play the ps game with Komar or someone else and keep Roberts. I wish Roberts luck, he's gonna need it.

Outside of DRC and Toler, the CBs were as frightening as I feared. Marshay Green had some moments, but Adams and Miller looked like, well, Adams and Miller. We need to make a move to help the secondary.

I can't believe Anderson was ever a starter, much less a Pro Bowler. The physical talent is indisputable, but his decision making, accuracy and composure are pretty poor. I hope Matt stays healthy.

Starting OL was really bad. It's amazing that Leinart completed 6 of 7, because they were in his face almost immediately. The 2nd string OL was significantly better. Lutui needs to be starting, no if, ands, or buts. Hightower was OK, but Beanie is head & shoulders better.

Yeah if things stay the same I think we'll eventually see Deuce move to starting RG and Wells to starting LG. I had some issues with the internet feed but from what I saw Faneca was nothing to write home about run blocking and really struggling pass blocking.

It's already been said a couple times, but seeing that scud of a field goal attempt by Feely gave me a real sinking feeling in my gut

Feely tends to choke in the clutch much like Rackers did, but great when the games not on the line.

The bad that stood out for me were Anderson, Feely, Roberts, and Miller. I am not near as down on Keith for that one play as many are.

Was also surprised at how little pressure were getting on the QB. I know we aren't showing much at this point but we were giving the QB all day.

The first team offense had a bad game and the defense was not that much better as Shaub lit it up against them.

I watched your game yesterday and thought your pass rush look weak so far. Matt Schaub had all day and Dockett couldn't even get a push against a scrub 1 on 1.

Because it's the truth? I've been here long enough to know that you are one of those posters who are sipping the Kool Aid 24/7. You said Matt Lainart had a good game for God's sake.

As a football fan, here were the things Leinart did wrong yesterday:

-stared down the receivers too much
-bad pocket awareness (he stepped up when there was no pocket at all)
-tripped over himself to cause the fumble
-Fitz got in injured because he didn't look off the safety
etc...

Anyone who makes a comment like that about DD knowing full well what kind of player he is (2 time PBer BTW) is completely clueless.

Interesting take on Matt. Wrong but interesting.

I will tell you who had a bad game. The people I was sitting next to at the game. You can really tell who the front runners are or who got free tickets and borrowed a cards fans jersey from. And there was a ton of them.

Some of the lines I heard that night -

"What number is Matt?"

"I heard that Dan Henderson guy is pretty good and is better then Matt?"

During the Cox question of the game of who was our 1st rounder "Andre Roberts"

That was just the tip of the iceberg.

You guys talking about Roberts getting cut are nuts. Won't happen gentlemen. This was one preseason game. This kid definitely has the ability to be a Steve Smith (NYG) type receiver in this league.
