I will say this. As a new person you guys are a tight group. Even if you don't see eye to eye you 're a group. It was hard to get in just the little I think I might have. Then I got banned for like 4 days without warning but that got worked out thank you for that. I see banned by a lot of names. I don't get that. IMO this board is to old fashion with a group that has been together a long time. If it's only a family board it will IMO fade away. Opposing fans get banned fast that I have seen. I don't see any here. Let them play a little so what. To many places to go without trying so hard to stay in a tight line to try to get in with a long time group. You people know your stuff. All kinds of stuff not just football and you know it well. So you have your group your way. As I said that group doesn't mean you even like each other but you have been that group a long time. Some of your group is gone. RIP love your friends. Time to IMO open it up. Yes that means this board will never be what it was for a lot of you but change is not bad it's a must IMO to grow. People will lean from you and get better at what they bring if they have the time to bring it. It's time to open the doors even if your not a sports pro or a P&R expert. Or in my case spell that well. :)

I will add I don't even talk about the Cardinals here that much anymore. Can't break in. I just do game threads on the other site I come here for the rest.

Well, a lot of us tend to skip posts with giant paragraphs. You might try breaking up your posts a little more. Also, not everyone with "banned" below their name is actually banned. Some use it as part of their signature.

And I'll tell you, almost everyone feels ignored or overlooked here at times. It's just the nature of this type of communication. Lastly, yes there are cliques but for the most part, they are fairly easy to penetrate. It just takes a little time and consistent effort. If you tend to post for a week or so and then disappear for a month, you're probably not going to get a lot of responses.

As an out-of-towner I used to depend upon this board for Cardinals' news. But their recent success has brought a lot of media coverage, so I don't have to depend upon this board as much. Though I read it EVERY DAY. And being in my 80th year also cuts down on my activity. I do appreciate the info I read, especially the SK appearances on the Doug and Wolf show. Also, much appreciate anything Mitch writes, and it's great to have Jeff back.

I spend a good deal of time on the board and always come here 1st for Cardinal info.

I don't post in the football forum too much either... I can't really have a discussion about football because I know so little about Xs and Os and can't bring much to an in depth discussion. I just have been hooked on the Cards since the 1960's and have followed them and only them for 50+ years.

I. Don't know much history because I was a tweeker back in the day and was largely living on the fringe of polite society... lol

Game threads are too much for me now but I visit them occasionally for sniper fire at something I think is over the top.

I just try to make light of things as I feel I'm better at that than discussing A gap responsibility/ 2deep zone+ man over. etc.

Football is much like art.... I don't know nuttin' about football, but I know what I like.

Love the thread. (Not sure why - just do). Some random thoughts.

- Do we actually know, it's Krang? (Maybe it's actually Snowden who's stolen his ID).

- Glad to see that Garth is still alive & kicking. He's one of the few guys here who's older than me, and we share the same home town & many of the same local traditions, landmarks etc. picked up there.

- When the Cards really sucked, there were more rotten roster positions we could bitch about. Now that we're alledgedly "elite", we only suck at a few positions, so there's less to discuss.

- I'd love to cherrypick quotes, and then comment on them, but am using an I-Pad and don't know how to highlight/copy/paste using my index finger on a touch screen.

- BA is the first HC I've been willing to "trust" when it comes to strategy, personnel, roster moves etc. (but not without some worry that he'll disappointment).

- I have no clue why people use social media, but heck - it took me a year to figure out why e-mail is better than simply picking up the phone. (I never thought it would come to this, but I've been growingly aware that I'm morphing into one of those ""get off my lawn." dudes

- I really do not like those new Cardinal retro/one-color jersey thingies.

My 2 cents. I've changed, my life has changed dramatically especially in the last year plus.

And I don't know if it's me or the board but as I have mentioned before the board at times drives me to tune out because of the incredible overanalysis that goes on during and especially after the season leading up to the draft. It sounds like that sort of "chatter" is what you actually want more of so it may just be me. But the constant analysis over which UDFA is going to be the steal for us and which guy I've never heard is going to be a star. that stuff used to interest me but now it's so magnified on this board that I tune all that out.

I'm actually somewhat embarassed to admit that during the first game 3 different times I had to look up a number to see who a player on the Cards, not the Patriots, was.

I think the NFL as a whole is over exposed, Thurs games 3 games on Sundays, Monday games sometimes 2 Monday games, all the pre and post game talk etc. It's reached the point where I'm on overload.

But again I know I've changed my life circumstances have sort of made that happen to me so I'm probably in the extreme minority.

I'm basically unlikable so, the popular kids ganged up on me, and got me tossed off the cardinals site board. I think I was fairly accurate in my assessment, with a twist of smel! Now I don't come on here to meet referees, play clinical football on a perfect field- I'm a mudder - I want get out in the storm, kick off, and get blind sided and get slid through a puddle till snot bubbles from guy on the bottom of the dog pile. Its not for all, only for fanatics.

I think of THESMEL as the Ron Wolfley of the board (and I mean that in the nicest way possible). I have no clue what he's saying most of the time, he's super nuts, but he means well and undeniably bleeds Cardinal Red!

I haven't checked the cardinals subreddit but the Dbacks subreddit is pretty active as far as game threads go. Way moreso than any of the Dbacks forums that's for sure.

I think everyone is just getting back into football. Sure it will pick up. College boards were the same way.

I call BS. I've been here 6 years under Darkside as a handle and another 10 years prior under a different handle. This board has changed. K9 doesn't care because he's been banned and hated way back when, like seriously hated, and Cheese, no offense, but you don't care because you're a company dude. You're a media guy and always have been. You know the artistic medium. It's the lense which you look through. So your perspective is different than an average guy.
Lol at all this

You were totally defending him, but that's natural. Yes, that's what big brothers are supposed to do, that's fine. But believe me Cheese can talk for himself, defne himself, and defend himself. I've seen it over YEARS. Years man.

You don't need to protect him about his thoughts. They're his thoughts dude. And why protect him on the forums? Stop being a little bitch and let he guy live a little man, without your input.
Seems like you'll be enjoying a different forum out of necessity soon

This board was a gathering of information and articles. I try to post news and etc but some people did it very, very consistently

What the #$%^ is a subreditt. God I'm getting old.
It's going backwards in technology vs a forum but people do it for some reason. It's like the old aol bulletin boards

I think it's AOL in thinking of, either way it's like a long comments section instead of formatted replies (Reddit in general, I guess I don't know what a sub Reddit is.)

I was trying to explain the early AOL days of the internet to my kids the other day. It blew their mind that it took hours to download a single song. lol

The reports of this forum's death have been greatly exaggerated. :newcards:

Go home, Darkside. You're drunk.

Wait, never mind...you probably already are home and PWI.
