Blocked kicks happen as well but unless this team has another losing season I think BA is Teflon, nothing is going to stick to him.

I pick on blocked punts because they are fairly rare most teams go a season without one, and if they do, generally the next year they don't have one. it suggests that good fundamentals can guarantee a punt never being blocked.

For 2016, the Cards were one of only six teams to have one of their punts blocked. They were the only one with two.

For 2015, they were one of ten with a blocked punt. They and the Jets were the only two to suffer a block two years in a row.

For 2014, they had two blocked. They had company that year as 20 teams had a punt blocked, and four had two blocked

Suffice it to say: The Cardinal punt units have been bottom 5 for three years running.

Whose fault is that?

Good research on your part. My main point is that BA won't be on a hot seat because of all he has accomplished with this team. The hot mess that is Amos won't stick to Teflon BA, he has earned the right to make a mistake or two.

5/5 I seriously LOL.

BA not firing Jones will lose some credibility with the fans, players & media once his faulty STs rears its ugly head again in 2017.

No way is he teflon next year. THIS year was his mulligan. You don't get forever to eff up in the NFL any more, and if his stubbornness costs him two years in a row, Arians should pay for it with his job.

I say season ticket holders email the ticket office and let them know they will receive their deposit payment when Amos receives his walking papers.

its clearly a sore spot with the fans, and not just those on this board. The boos that rained down at UoP when Butler's first punt vs Washington was mediocre show that average fans arent happy. That BA felt the need to pointedly discuss his assistants says that he has heard it as well.

this team won in 2013-2015 in spite of mediocre to bad special teams -- what is new is that they cost the team games in 2016. This after the GM and coach talked about them being better.

i think the pressure next season on STs performance will be very high

I don't remember what game it was but this summed up how terrible Amos is as a coach for me. There was a penalty situation that basically had the Cards kicking off from their 45 or something like that. Instead of kicking high and short and trying to tackle the returner and pin the team on it's goal line, he has Catman kick it through the uprights and the team starts on their own 25, not penalized at all. Freaking ridiculous waste of field position and a penalty.
