Why not (Suns) make a run for Bosh?

Bosh is just 30 and can play PF. He averaged 16 pts per game and just under 7 rebounds. We could give him a good contract, better than what Miami will pay him. I would rather have him than Melo. It would certainly make Lebron think seriously about coming here and worst case we added a solid player.

It's not a lack of trying otherwise other teams would be going after him too. He doesn't wanna leave the South Beach...at least not yet.

I agree. Velociraptors should love the desert. Or he could visit the ostrich farm on the way to Tucson.

We don't need any spark plugs. :p

We probably do if we lose Tucker. Besides, it might be the dishwasher instead. Although I wouldn't rule out the possibility it was a typo or even a spelling error. It might not be Bosch at all, perhaps we should be looking at bringing in some tasty Bosc pears. There's also a chance he's talking about that goofy looking basketball player with a similar name. I wouldn't mind bringing in Bosh but I don't think he's worth the rumored asking price in the neighborhood of 15 million.

He is if we get LeBron too. In fact, LeBron at 22 and Bosh at 15 is about perfect for our spending money. Bosh just becomes our upgrade for Frye.

You're right. As a package deal, I'd do it. But I wouldn't pay that money and then hope it was enough to entice Lebron afterwards.

Whoops typo, fixed it. Thanks.

No biggie. Just having fun with it. :)

I just think Bosh would be too expensive for what we're getting. He's no longer the inside player he was which is what we need. If it's a package deal with The King, sure.

I would rather have Gasol at a cheaper price. Then we can stack the team even more.

The only way he's going to leave the Heat is for a max deal, so if the Suns aren't prepared to offer that, there's no point even thinking about him.

Signing Bosh to a long term deal is risk ... He's kind of in the mold of a Jermaine O'Neal / Elton Brand type player - meaning he's not a superstar - These type of "stars" generally fall off noticeably in their 30's - Bosh has already showed signs of slowing down, so not sure it's worth it

On Carmelo - People just have to stop w/ this .. It makes no sense - A team w/ Bledsoe, Dragic, Lebron, and Green needs more firepower ? No ... Signing Carmelo would be the definition of a low-IQ "on paper" move - meaning a move a team like the Pistons would do ...

And YES I think Lebron, the guy w/ one of the highest IQ ever realizes this too - Lebron is more likely to say he will NOT come to the Suns if they trade their depth for Melo than him saying he would only comes if Melo would come ...

I think he means basketball IQ or, at least, I hope he does. I've heard/read/seen several reports that claim he is one of the smartest, most knowledgable basketball players ever.

Basketball IQ of course ... The point doesn't even have to be "ever" - He just really has to have a little B-Ball IQ to realize that the only thing potentially stopping the BIG 5 of Lebron / Dragic / Bledsoe / Markieff / Green (Yes, Big 5 ... People need to stop saying Big 3 - It underrates the Suns pitch) is defense / rebounding ... Things that Carmelo won't help in

no one in their right mind would refer to Green/Markieff as a part of a Big 5. And all reports are Bron wants to play with Melo. So if Melo's what it takes to get him, you get Melo. Period.

Eight rebounds a game from a combo forward on a team that doesn't exactly play fast isn't bad. He's not a great defender but that's mostly by choice, he CAN play decent defense.

no way to melo. he needs a ton of touches to make points/shots. if he was a max player aka superstar, he'd make a difference for his team. instead his knicks sucked arse in a weak eastern conference.

melo is a negative asset on the defensive end as well. capable he may be, heck there are a lot of players who have tools, quickness and strength. doesn't mean they will play defense as shown by melo's career.

That's the thing, Melo might sign with a team before LeBron decides on whether or not to come to PHX. What do we do then?
