“The biggest thing we’re going to do with Sam is make sure that he’s ready to play 16-plus games,” Steve Wilks said. “I’ve seen what he can do over the years. I’m not concerned about trying to get him out there quick as possible to throw the ball.”

The NFL wants it, the coaches don't like wake up and tell the team lets have a conference. Just look at the patriots conferences, he obviously doesn't want to be there but has to.

Bradford is still not healthy after last year's injury? It's been like six months? Did he have another surgery last year that I missed?

Lol... this season is gonna be beyond ugly.

I think they are doing this because of his injury history... yes, this season will be interesting :)

He was skiing in the offseason so I think its more of a precautionary and strength building perspective

Sam Bradford needs to practice and play a lot in pre-season. He has all new receivers as well as a new offense to pick up. He needs to work his butt off so that he is ready for the regular season.

The guy went skiing at Vail a month before he signed with us. His knee is healed.

The season could be ugly, but I'm not putting it in the grave just yet. How about after one or two games in the regular season? Can we be that patient?

He'll be ready when the real training camp starts up in July. A few more months of recovery can only help. Plenty of time in TC to throw to recievers and get on same page.

I find it funny that we are needing to limit the guy we are paying 15mil +. Whatever, continuity doesn't matter anyway.

All the reason to NOT give up the farm this year to move up in the draft. Either Bradford turns into the next Warner/Palmer resurrection story, or we're set up for a much better pick next year.

bradford is gonna do just enough to make keim "think" he has his QB...and we will continue down this long lonely road of never winning a Lombardy trophy...it is after all, the Cardinal way

And pick who next year when the next class is going to be a whole lot of meh. Every year the next class is suppose to be better and then it's taken apart in critique... well tell me how a supposedly crappy perceived class is going to fare when we get to this point :)

Nope, because Bradford is feast or famine. If he plays a full season, he will do more than enough and frankly will have pro bowl consideration. The fly in the ointment is that even if he does achieve that this season, which results in more than just enough, you still cannot depend on him to do it again next season due to his injury history and why we need a youngin' now

No he's not. He's in the training room or he's a rich man's Andy Dalton. In his "good" year in 2016 he was 16th in DVOA and 29th in QBR. They finished 8-8 and 3rd in the NFC North.

And it wasn't the fault of the defense, either. They were 6th in points and 3rd in yards. The checkdown artist completed 72% of his passes, but they were all at the line of scrimmage.

And Andy Dalton had made like what, three pro bowls, Sam has made over 100 million in his career, and as I said one will always question if Sam will become injured, hence the training room.... nice, piss and vinegar way of saying I am right sport lol
