I don't think the draft has anything to do with the way Bledsoe is playing. IMO, he is peaking in his career.
Gambo said suns players are motivated not to get a top pick, specifically mentioned bledsoe and pgs in draft. McD needs to reassure him

I agree if this is the way players are thinking but the Suns should not be thinking PG in this draft unless it is a can't miss player. IMO, the Suns should look at the forward position in the draft under BPA scenario.

Also I wouldn't mind a scoring PF. It really depends who is available when the Suns pick. If the Suns fall in the draft Markkanen intrigues me.
I want more talent always, tatum would be great... but
Have you seen tj warren since the all star break, almost every shot is in... I don't know why they don't run more plays for him, today he was killing markieff anytime they called an iso.

I like Warren...but he's not a dominant SF that can take over a game. Imagine if we had a scorer like Giannis at the SF...that would be ridiculous.

I always like mobile big men. I'm not sure how Bender develops. I think there is a lot of talent at the forward positions in the draft early. With the influx of PGs in the draft, it is easier to get a PG than a forward.

It might not be a bad year to get a tweener forward, or see what we could get in a trade. If we can get a young player in the first year or two of his rookie deal then I'd consider it, if he's someone who appears to fit.

These guys are fun to watch and I appreciate the intensity and the effort. I don't believe that Bledsoe is just playing hard because he is worried about losing his job; i think he's healthy and at the perfect point in his career where he has his athleticism but has also built his skills up to where he can compete at a high level every night and he wants to show that he can play with the best PGs in the NBA. I like that Bledsoe, I do wish he was a little bit more of a distributor but he is a good player and he has gotten better every year he has been in Phoenix.
It looks like the key to tanking will be playing Len in important situations. He routinely gets dunked on and fumbles offensive rebounds when it counts. I really hope the Suns don't re-sign him this offseason.
I am starting to think Warren could be a great 6th man on a contending team. He could come off the bench and help the second unit stay in the game while the starters rest.
I really like Ulis but I don't think his development should keep the Suns from picking Ball if he's available. That guy is special and he's going to make a difference on whichever team picks him.
I think Chriss is developing nicely and hopefully improves this summer and shows up next season with a little more offense than just pure athleticism. His defense has been improving over the last month and I am hopeful he becomes our version of Antionio McDyess.

All these comments about Bledsoe, it's like people forgot that he was playing like this last season before his injury. It took him more than a month at the start of this season to get back to the top of his game but it's just more of the same thing he'd been showing previously. He's a very good player, not a great player as some of us hoped or expected but still, he's a very good player and has been for awhile.

We didn't play particularly well but even still, it was a close loss to the 3rd best team in the East. And I doubt they were looking past us considering we'd just won 3 straight games. I can't wait for our 24 and younger squad of Booker, Ulis, Bender, Chriss, Williams, Jones JR, Warren and maybe Len to grow into their games.

I'm not really sure what motivated you here? I've been very vocal about him all season, I don't think there's any place for him here as a backup. He has to prove he can be a starter for us or we need to let him go and he has 24 games (now 18) to show us one way or the other. So far, it's not looking too good for him, hence the maybe. He's still our best rim protector but he just disappoints at so many other aspects of the game.

You can see it. One good draft this summer. Add maybe one quality FA signing and this team is in the thick of it.

He needs to learn to hang on to the ball! The guy has boards for hands. It is so much part of big man play. I remember when Oliver Miller came out of Arkansas, his strength was his hands. The coach there said "He could catch a dime in the dark." It just seems that Len is the opposite of that.
Len would do well if he started to play like Chandler once he left Chicago in his 6th season. He's not a scorer and I doubt he'll become one. If he can focus on defense though he has all of the physical tools to be an elite rim protecter and rebounder. He shouldn't worry about scoring unless it's lobs, put-backs, or quick assisted baskets in the paint. He's never playing against anyone bigger than he is or noticeably stronger, he just needs to find better positioning for rebounds and cut down on fouling. He's long enough that all he needs to do is wait just a half second longer to try and block shots. Right now he tries to stop shots from happening by going for the block before it's really left the hands of the shooter. If he waited just a fraction later then he'd be able to send it away. It'd be better to block it and send it out of bounds or away from the shooter than to send it right back to the shooter. Also at his size he shouldn't try and take any charges either because the officials won't call it.
He needs to focus on rebounding, blocking shots, and being a defensive presence. He has the size and speed to be one of the better defensive centers in the league but I think it'd help his development and the Suns if he focused on the defensive side of the ball. I wonder if playing against Chandler in practice has shaken his confidence. Chandler isn't the defender he once was but he's better than Miles Plumlee, Brendan Wright, and the other "centers" the Suns have had since Len has been here.
