I think anyone who has posted here for as many years as Kerouac can be safely called passionate. Questioning his passion bc he has different viewing criteria than do you is poor form imo.
I asked what else could we call it besides that. Any ideas?

I guess there are people who just want to stay home, even if there are free tickets. And decline them and then say there will be more Rams fans. I don't relate to any of that, but to each his own. I know he is a true fan.

He is also wrong about Rams fans. Of the three fanbases in the division, they turn out the least by a good margin. Which people who watch these teams at SFS year after year know.

I’m going to take a video of the sold out stadium that will be packed with Cards fans (even as I sit on the visitors side) and will post it here after the game.

That’s it exactly. I know some people that actually prefer watching on tv than going to a game. I’m not one of them, but I know some.

And you’re right, Rams fans are the least rabid of the division. By a shot.

I'll raise my hand to being in this category. I much prefer watching on TV than going to the game. With social anxiety and some other issue, I'm just not relaxed at game and feel on edge being in the crowd. The entire experience isn't enjoyable. I have the fight or flight feeling the entire time I'm there. That's not fun. I get a lot more enjoyment watching the game sitting on my couch with my laptop open reading and making snarky remarks in the game day thread.

Being at a huge, high pressure game is like being on acid. It’s a full body experience, rollercoaster with huge peaks and valleys. I miss it desperately. Haven’t been to a game since 2019 after coming back to Phoenix to at least 3 per season and every playoff game ever played.

I’m hoping to go to 2 games this season... in mid and late January!

He was in the hospital with Covid so im sure that "helped" shed some lbs.

Also, you dont need to be rich to lose weight.
under reported aspect of covid: being over weight increases your risk in proportion to the degree of being over weight

Pasch on 98.7 makes a really good point on home field advantage at State Farm Stad:

he talks about the difference between regular season games vs certain opponents where a decent % is opposing fans vs.

playoff games where its 99% Cardinal fans

the market needs to get where these big games need to be like playoff games

Is there a sporting event in a stadium anywhere in the world that doesn't have nightmare traffic?
When I went to SOFI for the Cardinals-Rams game, I was able to get out of the area fairly quickly. Granted, I planned on traffic and walked to the stadium from about a mile out and then after the game was able to walk back and leave with minimal traffic.

SOFI has a pretty good central location down in Inglewood and has multiple nearby freeways to egress the area.

Traffic is just the usual for any large event. I come in from the north and park in the orange lot. I generally stay till the clock hits 0.00 so the biggest bottleneck is getting out of the lot when the game's over. Once I'm northbound on the 101 it's pretty much clear sailing.

I also park in Orange. I try to get there early enough to park towards the end of a row. Then, I get into the outer exit lane. Once there, it is never more than 5-10 minutes to get out of that lot. Another 5-10 to get through the rest of the lot onto Cardinals Way. Get on 101 and, with no accident, it will take about 10 minutes to get to 1-10. Then, free sailing. Going home is not too bad. It's pretty efficient. I went to a game in Houston and sat in my spot for almost 90 minutes. Literally could not drive at all. It was terrible.

You got it, that's pretty much what I do. Even though I get there a least a couple hours before kickoff finding a spot by the end of a row is tough.

btw.. Go Cards!!

Even if that spot is up close to the stadium, I have found it better to park there, than park at the far inside of a row closer to the exit. The key is getting in that outer exit lane ASAP.
