I may be in the minority but I think it would prove quite a bit. This is a team that almost seems put together to take advantage of our weaknesses. If we can play with these guys I think we can play with any team on our schedule. Unfortunately, I think they beat us up on both sides of the line.

Our best chance at winning probably centers around taking advantage of their youth (more than half their team has fewer than two seasons of NFL experience) and which QB gets to remain upright the longest. If we can keep Laurinaitis and Ogletree and the rest of them off of Palmer long enough to get Fitz and Floyd involved we'll be able to score some points. On the other side, Long improves their line quite a bit but Jackson was one of the best blocking RB's in the league and I'm not sure that Richardson makes up for that loss.

Some good points, Steve.

You've got the week long build up to each game, in this case we've had 8 months. In other sports single games are easy to shrug off but Cardinal losses are always a bummer.

They've got bodies at TE, they just need more blockers.

We have tight Ends who can neither catch or block, which makes me think I should try out.. I can't catch or block, and would be more appreciative of the free money and great view of the game.

wouldnt it be awesome to see us come out and play like a team that is ready vs a team that still isnt put together for once?

After the first preseason game I was starting to think we'd do exactly that but the rest of the practice games have me thinking otherwise. I'm still holding on to a small shred of hope but it is tattered and torn and it will not stand up to much abuse.

You make some very valid points Steve.

I wonder which Cardinal's team we will see on Sunday: The one that comes out all fired up and making mistake after mistake, literally giving the game away, OR, the one that looks to be prepared and smart and in control of their emotions.

According to Fitz, the playbook has been narrowed down to a very manageable 25 or so Redzone Plays. He seems to be of the opinion that the entire team is poised and ready for this, (after the burden of trying to carry all the playbook in their minds during TC). I hope he is correct in that assumption. It would be nice to see US be the team that plays with poise and knowledge, and plays smart. That hasn't happened very often here in the desert. To have it happen on opening day, taking advantage of the Ram's youth would indeed be a treat.
