Would you pay two #1's for Peyton?

If Indy tag Manning, would you pay the two #1 picks and the FAT salary to sign him?

  • He's good, but we could get 4 players for what it would take to sign him.

The Colts have had Peyton for...what 5 years now? They haven't won the Super Bowl, they just won their first playoff game which we did with Jake.

He is going to get the biggest NFL contract....don't need any of that.

He may be Great..He may not..He wont play for the first couple of years..We have more needs than just a QB. I think MCCown will do just fine and we can fill many other holes. Now if he fell to number three?

Why wouldn't he play for the first couple of years? He has been playing for the Colts??

I am sure you have all seen "Major League" with Charlie Sheen and the rest. Well, I view the Cardinals as the football version of the team in Major League(Indians?). We will get what ever bird droppings make it through free agency and hope to build with the draft.

Who is our Wild Thing?? :)

Yeah, I think I would.

Are you really griping that he's been in the league 5 years and hasn't won a super bowl? How many years have the Cards been in the modern NFL? How many super bowls have we won?

People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

Manning is a rare QB and we would be very fortunate to have him--fortunate to the tune of 2 first rounders.

If the opportunity arose, would it be ANY two first founders? I voted no (almost voted yes), but the answer to this question could change my mind.

oops, thought you meant Eli..I would consider that for Peyton. This years number 1 for their number 1, next years number 1 and Clement . Contract for any high draft QB will be very high anyway. The biggest problem is...Will her play for us?

Your avatar suits you, that statement was very "Squidward", but also devoid of any real content.

P. Kendall, F. Jones, D. Starks, J. Hodgins, and D. Jackson were all Prime Free Agents who chose to sign with the Cards in the last couple of years.

If anything D. Green will make it even easier to sign players. There were several occasions where guys took less money to play for him in Minny.

Keep trying though. We're all waiting with bated breath for you next sarcastic remark. :?

It would be this years "earned" pick, and next years "earned" pick.

Normally I would have said no. But my opinion of P. Manning changed when I watched him orchastrate the Indy offense in K.C. during the playoffs.

Granted the superbowl champs made him look bad in the new england weather - I was really impressed with his performance overall during the season.

P. Manning is too talented to pass up.

But hey I'm not D.G. and I think he'll pass....

Without thinking. Yes. He's that good. Would you have traded two #1s for Marino or Elway in his prime? Samey-samey. We'd be insane not to do this, if he'll sign a big but relatively reasonable contract for a QB with us.

I agree. How can you even think of knocking this guy. He is, right now, the best QB int he NFL. And what makes him better than other QB's is his mind. His ability to know what a defense is going to do before they do it is uncanny.

I think the Colts need to become a more physical team, especially on defense, to win a SB, but it Manning is the straw that stirs that drink.

2 first rounders easily.

Ridiculous!

OF COURSE! Peyton is going into the prime of his career.

Boldin, Johnson, Jones, and whoever else would have a field day out there.

Just Boldin, and Peyton on the same team would cause havoc.

I know it ain't gonna happen but if I am running the show and there is a way to get Manning. I get him.

Peace
