Keim drafted Boehm to be the 2017 center. BA and CP like Shipley and wanted him back, so SK complied. BA tried to convince SK that Boehm was the answer at RG so as to further justify bringing Shipley back. We now know how that worked out, to the detriment of the team at quite possibly 2 positions on a much beleaguered and out of sync offensive line.

More of these decision fall on BA and what he asked for, than they do on SK. It's the same reason why they brought Sendlein back three weeks into the pre-season. CP wanted him and thus so did BA, even though BA and HG were high on Shipley taking over. Same thing with Stanton. BA and CP like him.

Stanton's 5 year presence has stifled the Cardinals search for a QBOF....all because BA and CP like him and said it was a "top priority" to re-sign him. Keim obliged, but in the meantime he accommodated BA's request to draft Logan Thomas in the 4th round and when that failed after a mere 14 months, SK traded for Matt Barkley whom BA hardly gave the time of day. And now SK brought in Gabbert, whom BA won't play because of his loyalty to Stanton. It goes around and around and it is in direct line with BA's wishes, not necessarily SK's.

I think the writing on the wall is, that our O-line coach and our D-line coach are bad, that the D-Coordinator and the ST-coordinator are bad. That the best coaches are probably Leftwich, Stump(who left) and the WR coach that made good or viable WR out of 4th - 7th rounders and I think Williams is getting there too.

BA is to stubborn to change anything, gosh he doesn't even change his gameplan if it would help him, he only changes it if Keim imposes an change and that only for 1 half, not even a game.

Adrian Peterson will not run for more than CJ2k if he doesn't get help and more runs. Same problem what CJ2k had, but I now realize that the trade and the Media following Peterson was the only way Keim could have brought BA to run more.

That was a genius move but only helped for 1 Half. So BA isn't the QB whisperer as HC he thinks he is, he may be as QB coach, less as OC and for sure not as HC.

Now we can see, why the Steelers fired him, they wanted Roetlisberger play atleast 7-10 more seasons, with BA he would have retired already. No one can get that beating without injuries and even if Keim says to CP, yes we are going to adress the O-line, as long as BA doesn't fire his coaches the O-line will be bad and the playcalling will get CP injured by midseason.

SK is in a losing spot, he can't fire any coach and has given BA the guys he wanted to often and with to much bargin. Stanton wasn't worth 5 millions, Gresham not 7 Millions and so on. I think the Badger was Keims plunder, but Badger may be getting back, who knows. for now he is overpaid.

I hope we get an other HC that puts his players in positions to succseed, like Bill Bellicheck and as sorry as I am for it, Todd Bowles, gosh ... it is a shame we lost him.

It's about time SK put on his big boy pants and started making some decisions on his own despite what BA wants, that's his job as GM.

A lot of pure speculation in this post.

No one underrates Campbell's contributions, but as I've said 100 times and will continue to say until this topic rightfully dies, Jacksonville overpaid him and Arizona was never going to give a defensive lineman on the wrong side of 30 that kind of contract.

Let it go, people.

Nobody is saying necessarily that the cards should have kept Campbell. What everyone is saying is that he was very, very good and they did NOTHING to make up for that loss. NOTHING. The managemnet of this team is pathetic. BASK = a big pile of steaming crap.

The Owner makes big bucks off concessions, TV money, etc., his job is to employ executives (GM, Head Coach) to run his enterprise on behalf of the FANS who pay for it all
The GM is paid by the owner to ensure good players are arriving to make a better product for the FANS, to ensure better revenue for the owner
The head coaches are paid by the owners to utilize the players the GM gets and his subordinate coaches in the most efficient and successful manner possible, for the FANS
The players are Independent contractors and extract what they can get and for that are expected to deliver at 100% any talent they possess, for the FANS

The fans PAY FOR IT ALL.
The players owe it to the fans to play at 100% every effing play.
The head coach owes it to the fans to utilize the players (and their subordinate coaches) in the most efficient manner WITH NO regard to 'loyalty' to subordinate coaches or familiar players, their loyalty should be to the FANS who pay for it all, if the players or sub coaches don't produce, the coach must bench or remove ... he owes that to the FANS who pay for it all
The GM owes it to the FANS to remove players AND coaches who cannot deliver on this obligation
The owner owes it to FANS, who PAY FOR IT ALL, to remove a GM who does not honor his obligation to the FANS

it ain't rocket science, we are the 'investors' who, unfortunately, hold NO voting stock... it is up to everybody in that chain to honor their obligation to the FANS, without whom, they don't exist

and the way they have been behaving, they will NOT be attracting new 'investors' and they will all be suffering to some degree from that fact (so it is actually in their own self interest to pay attention and clear the deadwood, all the way up to the Owner)....

And the owner, GM, head coach... who takes advice from someone in the stands will soon be sitting right next to him...

Wolf and Calvisi were on the Big Red Rage by themselves talking about how the only metric that matters with Drew Stanton is his 6-3 record as a starter.

LOL. #fakenews

I see a team that vastly underrated Calais Campbell and their ability to replace him. He is having an all pro year with 10 sacks and is leading a turnaround on Jacksonville.
ALOT of people under valued CC here. Sad thing is, I don't think the FO did. I think they figured his production could be replaced (somewhat) cheaper. BIG FAILURE. Nkemdiche can't stay healthy. He's got petetration ability, but if he can't stay on the field for three downs effectively, what use is he? CC was the MOST dependable DL this team has had for a very long time. And they cut him loose. I'm sure there are other teams that went over on the cap what gives??

it was clear Calais did not want to be here. in the last year of his contract he went the entire off season refusing to even go get an agent so talks could happen.

also...CC was going to want a long term contract....while I could see the team willing to commit to up to 3 years it would have been a bad decision to commit to more than that....... for what is likely his last contract of course CC is going to want a longer term as it equates to more bonus money.....he signed for four years.... will he be effective for four years?? Maybe,..I would even say probably... but $15mil a year guaranteed average good??

I for one dont think they drafted nkemdiche to replace CC.... I think they drafted him to replace D90... they wanted a year with CC and Nkemdiche both wreaking havoc on the line.... that just never happened.... nkemdiche is a dockett clone,...had he played to his talent last season we would have had the best defense in the nfl hands down

good teams generally let players go a year or two early rather than a year or two late...I think that was what they were thinking with CC.... but again,...he never even signed an agent to sit at the table prior to his last season here...he wanted to go.

That he is more like Dockett I agree. Don't believe the Cardinals reached out to him in any meaningful way. So writing was on the wall there. All said even at his rate of massive production this season, even that wouldn't have been able to give this particular team enough difference I'm afraid. Palmer and DJ would still be on the sidelines and the season a hopeful one on the wayside.
