A lot of people connected with the team in Gainesville say that Noah is really 7'0, but doesn't like to be listed as such. Even if he's not, he's damn close and definitely 6'11.

Noah should come in at 7'0 in shoes. He's only an inch shorter than Oden who's 7'1, so... I'm curious to see Horford. He looks taller than 6'8, but I doubt he's 6'10, either. Probably right at 6'9.

    Draft Prospects thread

Does it matter if he goes #1 or #11? Sure, he'll make a lot more money, but even at 11, and as a lottery pick, he'll still make more than enough money to live a great life. And I think respect him for going back to school to repeat, and accomplishing that goal.

Ohio State vs. Florida For The Championship

Horford is not only a lock for the lottery, he's most likely a lock for the top 5. Scouts love his talent. As for Noah, love him or hate him, he has no chance of going in the second round... none.

I hope you got a good look at Al Horford

He just cemented himself in the top 5 with that showing today. What a freakin' beast.

Horford isn't that limited offensively. He has a dependable low post game, and when that fails, he can step out and hit the mid range J with relative ease. He might not be Duncan on offense, but he's a lot further along in that aspect than Noah.

It's a matter of preference, really. Noah is longer and taller than Horford, but Horford is just as good as Noah at putting the ball on the floor, he's a better athlete, stronger, and, unlike Noah, shows signs of a promising post game and mid range jumper. He already has a lethal spin move that...

S Reggie Nelson & 3 other Florida Gators to enter Draft

Moss will be a late first round, early second round pick. Siler will most likely be a 2nd round pick, and Smith will probably go anywhere from rounds 4-6.

    Orlando @ Phoenix - Saturday 1/13/2007

Phoenix isn't going to let Howard beat them. Orlando needs to hit their open shots off of Howard's double teams if they want to have any shot.

Noah would be a perfect fit for the Suns. No, he doesn't have a great offensive game, but in the Suns' run and gun style offense, he could get his points simply off of transition basketball and fast breaks. He's the best running big man in college basketball (and one of the best in recent...

Suns @ Magic , Dec 11th Game Thread

Darko's always had all the tools, he just can't put it together consistently. You look at his ability at 7'1, and you just shake your head. Equally, you shake your head at how he can be so up and down all the time. I don't know what to feel about this game, to be honest. Howard barely played...

    Dwight Howard

Howard is reminiscent of a young Moses Malone. The great thing about him, though, is his work ethic. The kid wants to be the best, and won't stop until he is the best. Knowing some folks in the Orlando Magic organization, they said they've never seen someone as dedicated to basketball as Dwight...

    Josh Hamilton is back... again

http://www.baseballamerica.com/today/prospects/news/261564.html I'm just glad the kid has seemingly got his life turned around. If he adds to the Rays baseball wise, great, if not, I'm still proud of him to make it this far.

I was kidding about the bust thing... Upton's immensely talented. As for the Delmon situation, I'm going to wait until I see the video to comment any further. Let's just say it was an extremely dumb decision.

They came out with a story about him a few years ago in ESPN The Magazine. Technically, he could still get his career back on track as he's only 25, but it's extremely unlikely at this juncture. He was supposed to be the next Griffey, but obviously, that didn't pan out. I went to a game of his...

Conversely, there have been a bunch of phenoms who were ready to play at 19, but didn't get called up until 20-21, or even 22 years old (Chipper). One of them is in my username, and he is more talented that the other Upton, B.J., who was called up as a 19 year old. Part of that has to do with...

Upton is that good, but he's not ready for AAA at 18. Trust me, the last thing you want to do is rush someone of his ability.

He's terrific. Had the chance to watch him in high school and had nothing but great things to say about him.

He really reminds me, and this is also coming from me watching him in high school, of an improved Eric Davis. He does every thing Davis does offensively, but should hit for slightly more power and a better average.
