    Spurs vs Hornets Series

On to the actual thread topic. Whats the final score gonna be tomorrow? Another typical home blowout? Or will this game FINALLY live up to the billing? I say.... Hornets 92 Spurs 99

Why are NBA championships spread among so few teams?

It is astonishing that in the last 27 years, their have only been 8 NBA teams to win the championship. Lakers (8 times) Celtics (3 times) 76ers ( 1 time) Pistons ( 3 times) Bulls (6 times) Rockets (2 times) Spurs (4 times) Heat (1 time)

Donaghy bet on about 14 games he worked in 2006-07

Yeah, cause one ref can make sure an entire team wins or loses a game or a series of games.

    Spurs vs Hornets Series

Of course West is gonna play. He already stated that he didn't get hit that hard to keep him out. The question is, will he be 100%

    Big Shot Bob strikes again!

I thought that I was amgchang. :p Anyways, I agree with Cobbler. If it was ANY other player for ANY other team, nobody would give a crap.

    Big Shot Bob strikes again!

That also doesn't also make them more of a team that does.

    Big Shot Bob strikes again!

Oh yeah, I forgot. No one else whines other than the Spurs. Puh-lease. Is that better?

    Big Shot Bob strikes again!

I do remember the "Showtime" Lakers. And it was a ton of fun watching those classic Lakers vs Celtics Finals. But what I loved the most about it was not only the skill level of the players back then, but the brutality that those series brought. Did you read that yahoo article someone posted...

    Big Shot Bob strikes again!

For the record, I belive the Spurs have won 4 Championships. Not 2. As far as the Spurs being the thugs in the NBA, I remember watching the playoffs when the Spurs won their first 2 tropheys and they were labeled "the most boring team in the league." Now, because of 1 series against the Suns...

    Big Shot Bob strikes again!

Fouling back just as hard or harder. Leaning into a pick a bit more. Hack the guard good coming in for a layup and make him think twice. Instead, DA just looked puzzled and whined to the refs. "They can't do that!" Nut up, foul them back harder.

    Big Shot Bob strikes again!

I was around back then. I obviously wasn't watching the Raptors due to the fact that they weren't around back then. But I did indeed watch the NBA in those days. So if a player is playing hurt like West was, the Spurs should not play him physical and try to inflict pain on him? Why not...

    Big Shot Bob strikes again!

I applaud your intelligent, insightful post. Really I do. No BS. I too thought the Suns were the better team last season as well. I just thought it a shame that they didn't fight back.

    Big Shot Bob strikes again!

WOW! Another genius who caught me! Since I didn't post in that thread I MUST be a Spurs fan! Comical, instead of replying with intelligence rational arguments, that's all you come in here with.

    Big Shot Bob strikes again!

Phil Jackson was their coach. You can guarantee they were physical enough when they needed to be. Funny, that's all you had to say. How about all the other teams I mentioned???????

    Big Shot Bob strikes again!

It's as simple as this Suns fans, you MUST play physical in the NBA to achieve success. The Hornets coach knows it, hell, he was a part of it in the 80's with the Lakers. Phil Jackson in LA knows it & the Pistons know this. That is why your team fails. Cause your previous coach has had the...

    Big Shot Bob strikes again!

I'm not a Spurs fan AfroSuns. And thanks for letting me know about Spurstalk. I'm not lecturing anybody about "respecting" the Spurs. Find 1 post where I said that. As far as Byron Scott's comments to the media, funny how you don't add this little snippet..... “They’re one of the...

    Big Shot Bob strikes again!

I hope for the sake of the Suns fans, the new Suns coach and his coaching staff don't have the same "weak" mindset as all of you have. If he does, your Suns will NEVER win a Championship. No one is denying that Horry didn't mean to lean in and foul him hard. But did the refs call anything...

    Spurs vs Hornets Series

I agree. It is comical that people actually believe that was a cheap shot.
  25. B

    Spurs vs Hornets Series

You mean this obvious malicious cheap shot...... Yeah, Horry really "undercut" him there. Puh-lease. West clearly jumped backwards, Horry was just bracing himself for the contact. Absolutely NO maliciousness from that at all.
