    I think that if anybody in the world has an even slightly suspect back, and shows up to play an NBA season overweight, the back will give them problems. It's an excuse that makes sense, but is completely his fault.

    No to Odom. He's very injury prone, and word is that his shoulder is still not healthy and it may not even be ready for the start of training camp. If we add a significant piece for Marion, it would be pretty important for him to be able to play in training camp.

    Varejao is much more athletic and much more active. It may not show in stats, but he's closer to a guy like Bo Outlaw in his prime than Skinner now.
