Potential defensive coordinators - my suggestions

Now we have to compete with the Bears for the best 3-4 DC. The Bears who boast an elite defense that's already in place. We have some great pieces as well but are far away compared to the Bears. Thankfully there are many veteran DCs available. Gregg Williams won't be our choice probably since...

    OT: Coaching rumors league wide

Take this BA! Blood wasn't that thick after all. Hopefully Amos doesn't get poached either, or BA will be left crying.

Potential defensive coordinators - my suggestions

I don't think Del Rio or Gregg Williams are in immediate danger of being poached away for a HC gig. Even if our defense improves vastly. Both had their shot(s) and it didn't end well. Both aren't always easy to get along with, like Todd Haley who is coaching where now? Marv Lewis has the moniker...

Potential defensive coordinators - my suggestions

At this point, when l look at how the dominoes have fallen, I'm all for Gregg Williams. We need an influx of aggressiveness and fighting spirit on defense. We lost our edge from previous years when Wilks arrived.

Headcoach Kliff Kingsbury and his assistant coaches

I don't see the OC mattering really much. This is the KK show on offense now. Of course NFL experience on the staff can only help, but I'd prefer people who are familiar with KK's style and are able to teach it. As long as we get a proven NFL DC, I'm fine. If it the choice is indeed a proven...

This article makes me even more hyped (KK and Rosen)

KK also made Davis Webb work who is a statue and even less athletic than Rosen. For Mahomes he designed more rollouts and sprint options, while with Davis Webb this was replaced with increased RB usage and quick screens. Also a nice fact about the way KK spreads out the defense, quick bubble...

Not even a DC rumor yet

Coaching a defense with both an elite pass rusher and elite CB, as well as a future star nickel, should be any DCs dream. This unit was so bad and generally misused under Wilks that any new DC with half a brain could earn easy kudos for turning it around. All this and the fact that our 1st...

Not even a DC rumor yet

Not very likely that our next DC is on a PO staff. PO teams usually don't overhaul their staff. Beware that a positional coach moving to be our DC is just considered a lateral move and there's absolutely no reason for a team to grant us that wish. There are lots of good DCs on the open market...

Not even a DC rumor yet

We have not only the obvious superstars but also some other talented players on defense, who just lack some spirit and nastiness. Gregg Williams would do wonders for a guy like Reddick, who has shown this season that he can make plays but lacks the fear factor. In a Gregg Williams lead defense I...

Potential defensive coordinators - my suggestions

There is no way Greg Williams would serve as DC under Kitchens. After Hue was fired, Kitchens was OC under Willams. The Browns could've stayed put with HC Williams and OC Kitchens, but opted for the latter being their HC going into next season. Tough pill to swallow after a great 2nd half of the...

    Way early, but

Improvement on defense close to the level before Wilks forced his scheme on us. Improvement on offense from rock-bottom to at least semi-decent, with the focus on developing Rosen. Maybe the offense can win a game or two, which even the Bills or Jets managed to do last season. Hopefully the...

It's official. Cards and K K are one Kliff Kingsbury Cards

Most important thing about KK is that he runs a very QB friendly scheme. While it may not look that complex on paper, it has solutions for almost any situation, which enables a well prepared QB to pull the trigger quickly. It's designed to get the ball out to the playmakers quickly and stretch...

OT QB Dwayne Haskins will enter draft

If I'm SK I do everything in my power to drive up Haskins' value throughout the process. Media, behind the scenes and so on. He is a good prospect, certainly 1st round talent. Elevated because of no real QB competition at the top of the draft. As draft prospects, Rosen would rank slightly above...

Potential defensive coordinators - my suggestions

This. I think HC experience is essential for our next DC, considering KK is as much of a rookie HC as there can be coming from CFB. Just like it was with McCoy when we hired Wilks, even if it didn't work out at all. The line of thinking was to give Wilks someone with HC experience to support...

    Kliff Kingsbury Interview Today

The plan here has to be adding a veteran DC, adding Bosa with the 1st pick, and let him and Chandler Jones hunt QBs. Let PP do his thing again rather than wasting his talents. This defense would be deadly. On the offensive side, let KK do his thing and move the offense, chew some clock while...

    Why I Like Josh Rosen

He's brave and confident, which is amazing given how much hits he has taken. Never looks rattled, stays tall and calm in the pocket. He is the Anti-Kolb. His decision making will improve. Remember he is a rookie on a historically bad offense. Fix the OL. Get him another weapon or two.

Nick Bosa-How does he compare with Clowney and Garrett?

Bosa clear no.1 in mocks across the board. Then watch him run a 4.7 or high 4.6 at the combine, while exceling in 3 cone and BP. But it won't matter when another top DL prospects runs in the 4.5 range. This happens all the time. Bosa strikes me as a prospect, just like Joey, who falls to 3 or 4...

A Theory on Why Keim Needs to Go

To be fair, Dansby and Washington were almost generational players. Dansby had proven to be great over a long period. If it wasn't for Washington's off field stuff, he would be regarded as an elite LB right now. But I agree that Keim has failed in that regard. Especially the OL hurts, since we...

Is it really smart to trade down?

I don't buy Bosa as a generational talent. Outstanding technician, high motor, but physically not your typical 1st overall pick. Oliver would be the physical freak, but too many questions about scheme, character and positional fit. Quinnen like most Bama DL pretty much maxed out in terms of...

Is it really smart to trade down?

People acting like Bosa is gonna be a surefire NFL star we would be passing up. But he's not. I very much doubt that he ends up being the 1st overall pick anyway. This team needs much more than a very good DE prospect to start its way back to the top. DE is probably the least of our needs, and...

Why Todd Bowles is likely the next Cardinals Head Coach

Insulting to Bowles, who has not only fielded the best defense we've had here in a while, but also one of the most exciting ones to watch. Bowles was given an abysmal Jets roster. Remember when they cut bait on seemingly all off their veteran players and were a lock for 0-16 in the eyes of...

    I want a T E from the draft

Depends on the next HC/OC. Some prefer a big tough blocking TE, some prefer a slightly bulked up WR who isn't used to block at all. A solid TE would be a great security blanket for Rosen. Especially if Fitz hangs em up.
