    Target: David Lee

Agreed. I think Lee's ceiling is probably not all that high. But he does all of the little things that you want. He hustles, rebounds, gives good defensive effort, and scores without demanding the ball a lot. Awesome player to have, especially on a contending team

    Suns at Bobcats 1/23

The cats wanted the win more. plain and simple. When amare only gets 12/9/3, the suns most likely are not going to win. When you play hungry teams, you've got to be ready to play 48 strong minutes. Something's gotta happen. A trade, a new coach, benching of amare, something.

    Has Amare mailed it in?

if we look at his first handful of years in the league, we can tell he, in all odds, won't be changing. The only thing he's really done to improve his game was on offense, and that was working on the jumpshot/free throw shooting. You said it yourself. He can change his game if he wants. He...

Could The NBA All-Star game Effect A Phoenix Trade?

after elindholm mentioned his point, i suppose it is true that either is grammatically correct. It seemed to me that "affected" would've reflected what the author wanted to say better than "effected". Either way, moot point.

    Dallas/Phoenix should trade

Stat and barbosa for dirk is robbery. Stat for dirk i'd consider.

Could The NBA All-Star game Effect A Phoenix Trade?

I don't think he meant at all to say "Will the all star game "bring about, make happen, or accomplish" a trade?". I think he meant to ask if the game will change a potential trade as amare has been voted a starter. Why would him being voted a starter bring about or make a trade happen? that...

Could The NBA All-Star game Effect A Phoenix Trade?

No it isn't. http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/affect Affect (verb)- to act on; produce an effect or change in EX) Cold weather affected the crops. Obviously the starter of this thread meant to say "Could the all-star game produce an effect or change in a phoenix trade?" Effect is...

    Sheed to Phoenix ?

first of all, i was only pointing out one of the many ridiculous flaws in that trade. Neither nash nor A.I would be good off the bench, but especially nash. Secondly, why would detroit mortgage the two future parts of their team (prince and stuckey) for a point guard that is only good in up...

    Sheed to Phoenix ?

^^ yeah, right! then detroit could start nash and a.i in the back court. that's a title-contending back court, for sure! :sarcasm:

Could The NBA All-Star game Effect A Phoenix Trade?

Affect a trade* but no, i don't see that being a concern.

Trade Nash And Shaq And Still Compete

if you think shaq made amare's job harder, imagine how much he'll make boozer's harder. He takes up too much space. boozer goes on the block, and okur spreads the floor. trading for shaq would kill that spacing, and make it much harder on boozer to do his thing

Why isn't this team playing better?

unfortunately accolades and skills don't always win championships.

    Sheed to Phoenix ?

if shaq for marion wasn't a win now move, this certainly is. Prince and afflalo are nice, but trading for sheed is essentially saying this year or bust

    Do you want amare back?

never thought i'd be saying this, but if amare could just be as good as Zach Randolph (statistically), i'd be thrilled. At least Randolph is a 22/11 a game guy, and he actually rebounds the ball well.

    Amare trades

the only problem is we give up way more talent.

    Amare trades

Yeah smith is just a guy who can block some shots because he has ridiculous hops. Marion was more or less the same way when it came to that. Heck, Amare can block shots even. No thank you to J. Smith.

Is there an ounce of optimism left in any of you?

actually, a lot of people knew it was quite possible for the warriors to beat Dallas in case you didn't know. They were the one team that dominated dallas all year. I wasn't too surprised to see it happen. But like someone already mentioned, they got it handed to them by a less soft team the...

Is there an ounce of optimism left in any of you?

you've almost responded more to your own thread than everyone else combined. He didn't put words in your mouth. You said anything is possible, and from that he simply drew a conclusion. He doesn't look like a tool at all. You look like a moron. But then again, nothing new there.

Is there an ounce of optimism left in any of you?

this surprises you? like i told you before, the entirely sports world would call you nuts for saying the team can win a title. Even when they were playing their best, it was all reliant on the offense. Championship teams start on the defensive end, and the suns can't play any defense.

Who kinda wants to see the Suns get run out of the Garden on Wed?

i'm almost positive that pick was traded before it was turned into jeff green. it was also traded to seattle (now OKC) for Ray Allen, not KG.

    SI: Blow it up

It's black and white, no gray area. The suns will not win. Tomorrow is Wednesday. Begin to accept these things. Agree to disagree.

Does Shaq Have Positive Trade Value?

I think we should trade Shaq to the Lakers just so Andrew will become a Lakers fan and leave this board for good. Anyone else on that bandwagon?
