    What Q Has to Do

Joe Chad Ford reported this morning that some of the changes to the CBA are that the cap may go to 50M and max contracts will only be six years for players signing with their current team. Under that scenerio there is no way that the Suns do not match a max contract. JJ or his agents have...

ASFN Mock Draft: Nuggets on the Clock #20

I think if Sean May drops this far it will be hard for George Karl to pass him up, that is if he can convince Kiki to take a Tar Heel. Karl likes smart players and has a hard time tolerating stupid mistakes. If May is selected, Nene definitely becomes expendable.

    What Q Has to Do

I may sound like a broken record as well and say that JJ will not be traded, absolutely, positively. Marion almost got traded last summer for T-Mac and the deal would have probably been done if JJ was not demanded by Orlando. Marion is at his peak, JJ is still climbing the mountain.

    Nene to the Suns?

All am all behind the Theo Ratliff deal and I disagree that they could not use Marion ( again my version adds Q and Derek Anderson in the deal). Marion and Q become starters, Miles comes off the bench. That is a pretty good rotation at the 2 and 3, especially if Iavoroni becomes the head coach...

    What Q Has to Do

The only way I would do the deal is if the Suns can sign SAR. SAR can balance out the loss of Marion, his career averages are 20 pts, 8 rebs. He is only a year and a half older than Marion. He has completed his big contract and if he could be signed for the MLE that would be the key. He could...

Players Suns will work out and worked out already

I was in attendance the year Majerle got drafted and do remember the booing. Cotton got on the mike on the stage and said that the crowd would be pleasantly surprised. That year we had two first round selection Majerle was the second, anybody remember who was our first 1st rounder...

6/20/2005 Insider - Blazers talking with three teams

My guess is that he took all of his shots from the arch (the offensive foul arch), if he does not have a jump shot he will not fit in with the Suns.

    What Q Has to Do

I still like Portland as a trading partner. It sounds like Hunter is pricing himself out the Suns plans. If so Marion and Q for Ratliff and Anderson and #35 Hunter signs with Portland SAR signs with Phoenix Phoenix drafts Petro @#21 and Diener @#35. Keep Petro in Europe for a season or...

ASFN Mock Draft: Pacers on the Clock #17

I agree he is almost a carbon copy.

    What Q Has to Do

If a guy only shoots 63% and 73% respectively from the FT line, it shouts out that he is not a pure shooter. I think the way the offense was designed around talents, the SF became the 3pt shooter. If that is the case I would rather have JJ become the SF and find another guy to become the...

    Realgm- Matrix on the block

I think that I have agreed with all 7 of your posts. You have been here a short time but I have been stating a lot of the same reasons the Suns have to make some trades. They were very fortunate to get out the Penny/Marbury long term contracts (thank you NYK). Marion's and Q's stock is at...

    Uh, Rex quits!

"did not rule out a return to the team" "was not a power struggle with BC" Maybe he just did not like scouting, it does seem to be a very subjective role. Mentioned he was looking into broadcasting and coaching. What was his postion before he was college scout.

    Cleveland Declines Option On Traylor

As I recall the Suns seriously considered him last summer. He preformed very well for the Cavs and I think he actually became a fan favorite in Cleveland. He could be a person that could add some depth and muscle (weight). Add him to the list of possible FAs. His salary last year was very...

Would You Want The Suns To Do This Trade?

From what I understand is these two guys cannot be traded because of those options. They exercise the option to remain with the team and then they can be traded. If they want to go to another team the just opt out and the team cannot send them some place they may not want to go.

Would You Want The Suns To Do This Trade?

I see it as a deal that BC would propose, if he can't get it, he would probably move on to something else. I do think it has some merit. It is definitely something that Utah would not throw at the Suns.

ASFN Mock Draft: Lakers on the Clock #10

Must have been too late but wanted to see if Jackson came back as coach. Sean May would be perfect for the triangle offense. They need a PF as well as PG.

Would You Want The Suns To Do This Trade?

They want face up players, guys who can create their own shots. JJ might be relaxed of some of that if replaces Q at sitting at the arch. The thing that may swing this deal is that if Utah can get Korolev at #21. To add Marion, Q and a guy that could be AK47 II might make the deal enticing...

Diogu to workout for Suns on Friday

Hoopshype had a list of scheduled workouts this week and Ike was visiting the Suns this Friday. He has a pretty busy schedule, NJ this Wed, Ind. this Thurs, Minny next Mon, Toronto next Tues and Charlotte next Wed. obviously all of these teams pick before the Suns.

    free agents

The more I think about it SAR might really be the guy to target. The guy has got to be tired of losing and also not having the label of being an underachiever because he was always considered the guy to carry the team. Since he probably now knows his limitations he might actually prefer to be...

ASFN Mock Draft: Warriors on the Clock #9

He is the same size as John Stockton was and is the same size as Chris Paul. May not be as good as athlete as Paul but is a better shooter ala Steve Kerr. Utah has already has had him and I can see them jumping on him if he comes up at #34. The only way that will not happen is that if they...

    Not the DREADED Trade proposals!!!

All right, let's shut down the site all summer. Yuma You have just got to see that some guys prefer talking about player movement vs. analyzing every play of every game. Right brainers are going to prefer the former, left brain people are going the like the latter. That is one reason...

Players available on the Suns 21st pick

I would be horribly upset if the Suns draft Garcia. The guy just looks too fragile and he has had a history of experiencing fatigue. No way should he be considered. I do think the Jazz could be good trading partners in several different scenerios, especially if they are focused on signing a...

    Chad Ford Blog - workouts

I hope the Suns find a way to get in a position to draft Diener. To stand out in the crowd in the Chicago camp sayes a lot.

Would You Want The Suns To Do This Trade?

Az's Finest, I voted no because #6 was not included. I am in total support of your logic, only if the #6 pick is included. With #6 there are so many options available to replace either Marion or Q; Granger, Graham, Warrick, Diogu or even Vasquez. Flexibility down the road will be important, 5...
