Bynum says knee is getting "worse"

Gasol is the ultimate complementary player who can be the difference maker if your defense lets him. Amare proved in our last meeting that he was too quick for Gasol, while Amare's improved defense no longer lets Gasol and Odom outtrick him so easily as it used to be. With Bynum not having...

Bynum says knee is getting "worse"

Well, Bynum has his excuse for being a non-factor already. He will be free of any blame when the Lakers get eliminated in 5-6 games. Who else needs an excuse? Odom, for not starting maybe? Hahah.

Jason Richardson's gift to the Suns

This is a meaningless topic. There is no way Suns can get LBJ. There is no reason he wants to come here. And after we win our first championship in the next 4 weeks, :) there is no reason to ruin the chemistry even if we could ship out half of the team to get him.

LeBron says he "Spoiled" Cleveland Fans

That's very reasonable. In the recent memories, no team has won the title with just one superstar without another all-nba star on the team. Even Hakeem had Drexler. Extreme chemistry and coherence of roster could even win it all without a bonefide superstar, as we saw with Pistons and Celtics...

Has Amare already made up his mind with free agency?

well, what else would someone who is becoming a FA say? Hey, "teams, don't bother offer me a contract, I'm already resigning with my old team for whatever they want to give me." That'd be stupid.

Suns can only hope Lakers go big

Agree. BALANCED ATTACK, that's the magic this team has. Aside from game 4 against SA, Amare has not been shooting midrange jumpers well in playoffs. Frye, Hill, LB, Dragic often start their game with bad bricks. But this Suns team has the patience to get someone going while holding up out there...

Suns can only hope Lakers go big

In the last two regular season games, Gasol and Odom no longer could score on Amare as they used to. Defensively, Amare has improved a lot over the season, he has only problem against Bynum's size now. So, if Bynum gets into foul trouble or so, I believe Suns would have the size advantage, in...

    What happened to the Cavs

Didn't you hear Pop say at the press conference after game 3 that Dragic playing like that would extend Nash career to play another 5-6 years?;) For Nash, I can't say enough "less is more". I hope he plays less than 30 min in regular seasons from now on. Stockton had 5-6 years playing below 30...

Hero of the playoffs so far: Grant Hill

I agree. It's the mindset of playing defense in which Hill led us by example. JRich has been playing better and smarter defense after the 1st Portland game disaster, though maybe particially due to his confidence in his off. production. From the 3rd or 4th Blazers series on, Gentry truly started...

    What happened to the Cavs

Vision! My friend. :D The point was that amid the trades talks early in the year, most of the posters labeled me a Nash basher for seeing the potential of Amare/Nash of emulating that of Malone/Stockton, since it required Nash to play a "lesser" role than he had been doing, so to say...

    More feedback from San Antonio

En, safe to say, all we hated from the Spurs were Bowen and Horry for their dirtiness. Hey, even Bowen's best friend Raja is no longer on the team. ;)

    What happened to the Cavs

That's hommage to Nash and compliment on his courage to "improve" his game in that department. You are still bitter that I told you Amare/Nash will be better than Malone/Stockton once Nash emulates Stockton a bit, or still proud of the fact you tried to riducule me for my vision about that. :D

    Mike D'Antoni and Steve Kerr

hahah, that's typical Amare. He ain't no diplomat.:D

    What happened to the Cavs

I don't see why the hatred against Shaq, just as it used to be against Marbury. He didn't do anything harming the franchise, nor did Marbury. I think if Nash played defense as well as he does now, in DA's last season, we might have beaten Spurs already 2 years ago, though the current roster...

    Lakers haunted by the Suns?

The player I am most concerned of is Artest. He seems to be able to nail down the 3s and abuse Hill/JRich on lowpost quite well. That's where I hope Collins could step in and set some solid backdoor screens fro JRich and get Artest some early hard bumps to throw off his shooting touch. :D...

    Mike D'Antoni and Steve Kerr

And, what about making Amare the "point center"? Yap, we gave the ball to him once or twice at the start of the season and Amare failed, so he ain't got the talent of learning that part of game properly, just as he ain't got talent to play defense, right? You have to provide a reasonable setting...

    I'm glad SA eliminated Dallas

As I have been saying for a while, the key to Suns success is to have Nash fresh for crunch time and for giving effort on defense. At the start of the Blazers' series, Gentry was still playing Nash too much and not holding him accountable on defense. He changed out of necessity. He now fully...

Feelin good bout the Lakers. You too?

In recent losses to them, Lakers have beaten us by Fisher/Farmar hitting 3s and Bynum, Gasol and Artest abusing us, while Kobe is Kobe. I believe our defense has improved tremendously, particularly with Nash and Amare at their positions. Dud, Hill, and Rich are extremely confident with their...

Playoffs 2010: Western Conf Semifinals, Game 4 – Suns At Spurs Game Thread

His interior d. has been excellent. His timing on help d great, as witnessed in the block on TD's layup/dunk attempt, and blocking Hill's and-1 attempt that got Hill lying on the ground for 2 min after collision. He was a bit late to cover the perimeter shooting though. And he boxed out TD in...

Playoffs 2010: Western Conf Semifinals, Game 4 – Suns At Spurs Game Thread

His reason for doubting the Suns was laughable. Dudley-Hill-JRich couldn't match well with Lakers' size? Could their size match with this unit's spacing? And, if for nothing else, Suns have proven they find an answer for everything the opponents throw at us. I maintain that as long as Nash can...

Spurs vs Suns 2010 Playoff Thread

What vision this poster had! ;) Before somebody raises the objection that Amare scored only 7 pts in game 3, mind you that was due to Dragic bursting off that sat the entire starting unit on the bench for the 4th.:D

My opinion on Amare and Nash

I have been right throughout all: Amare/Nash can be a better version of Malone/Stockton if they are used properly.:D Shame on those who doubted my judgment, er their skills! ;)

Playoffs 2010: Western Conf Semifinals, Game 3 – Suns At Spurs Game Thread

Well, there is huge difference to pre-injury Penny still. :D Frankly, I was never in doubt for us to come back as I couldn't imagine that they maintain the defensive pressure of 1st quarter throughout the game, with the rotation they play. And I was sure Nash/Amare/JRich would have won it for...

    Mike D'Antoni and Steve Kerr

The Banks reference is quite ignorant and lacks any trace of logic. DA hand-picked Banks himself and gave him 25/5 contract as the GM, while spitting out the famous quote "I ain't in the business of developing rookies" when he had the chance to pick Rondo with our first-round pick. (And people...

    Mike D'Antoni and Steve Kerr

I'd say, Gentry has learned more from DA's failure as the closes eye-witness, and from his own adhering to some of DA's principles like sticking to Nash for 40 min in close games with the belief "our MVP will will us the win", which has not occurred for over 2 years now due to body breakdown.
