Week 1 Cardinals Vs. Lions Storylines

So you're saying they made a mistake trading Chandler Jones? :bang:

    Bubble Watch

I get what everyone is saying but after watching Andre Ellington I get what you're saying but has everyone on this board forgot watching Andre Ellington the last two years falling down before he even came close to being hit? I certainly haven't. I also remember him wiffing on a few blocks while...

Day 3 Thoughts: Big Day for OL, STs and UDFAs

I know a little bit about Bevins. He started out at Iowa State and looked like he was in line to be a starter very early and coaches and fans were very excited about him. Then he up and transferred to NWMS. Cyclone fans have followed his career and lamented the fact that he transferred. No one...

The Curious Case of Patrick Mahomes

Then you didn't watch them all either. Go back and watch the Iowa State game. They baited him and he fell for it. Iowa State players admitted after that game that the coaches found a flaw/weakness and forced him to go to that weakness. He scrambled a lot in that game but he also threw back...

    Mahomes

Was trying to remember something on Mahomes. I happen to be an Iowa State fan and Mahomes had an awful game against them. TT lost 66-10, Mahomes was 18 for 36, 1TD 2int, and 219 yards.. Remembering back I found that a defensive lineman had said that the coaches noticed that Mahomes was not...

DJ Swearinger Signs 3-yr deal with Redskins $13.5M

You must remember the old days like I do. The days when we didn't resign our players and the fans complained about letting guys walk but nobody else signed them. And like magic they were out of league never to be heard of again.

Senior Bowl Prospects to Watch for Cards Draft

I know we don't need a safety but Nate Gerry has pretty good size, 6'2" 214, and I wouldn't rule out a switch to linebacker. He's a heavy hitter, gets a lot of tackles behind the line of scrimmage, and he could add some weight. Probably won't happen but the Cards had us scratching our heads when...

I Have a Question for Tom Moore

And he's probably forgot more football than most of us know.

    Final cuts, bring him in?

I don't watch hard knocks but they still go through the process for the cut downs. I was listening to a radio interview, it might have been with Ross Tucker, I'm not sure, and he was telling about an incident he had while talking to Cowboy's starting SS Barry Church after the 3rd preseason game...

    UDFA Want list.

Drew Ott, Defensive Line, 6'4" 275, Iowa Good player, got injured, applied for an extra year, got turned down right before the draft hence he somewhat flew under the radar. Would be a good guy to stash.

    The NFL Draft Has Become...

I sat at the same table with Sayers at a Fiesta Bowl function years ago. He didn't say a word the whole time. Looked like he would rather be anywhere else than there. He is almost anti-social. By contrast Tony Dorsett was also there and he was laughing, telling stories, and having his picture...

If the Pro-Bowl was eliminated, would you care?

I agree I went to it at UofP and had fun. It was just kind of interesting seeing fans in the stands with jerseys on from every team in the league. No one was even getting in arguments or getting upset. Just had fun.

    GB post game moaning.

I was listening to NFL radio last night and they made a point I hadn't thought of. They said one of the consideration for not ensuring both teams get a possession is that the NFL did not want to get into a situation where teams defer at the coin flip. Then it would be much like the college...

    AZ 38 GB 8 Thoughts

I was reading a 49er's message board and one poster was saying that it must have been a promotion along the lines of "Wear a Cardinals jersey and you get to hit Aaron Rodgers." That made me laugh.

    Just let it sink in...

It's funny you mention that. I was listening to "Moving the Chains" on NFL radio and a guy called in and said he wanted to talk about his teams fans holiday tradition. Said he was a Lions fan and the holiday tradition was looking ahead to next year. It made me laugh but it made me appreciate...

Cards-27 Rams-3: The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly

I wonder if this is where the injuries are starting to hurt us. Obviously our best special teams player has been pressed into service as a starting cornerback. Not only are players doing more double duty but players who might not have even been on the roster or didn't play at all are now...

    Week 11 Heroes and Goats

Boy this is a tough crowd. First Frostee was banged up most of last night and Cory Redding was inactive. Redding is a really big body for those short yardage plays. I think we forget that the plan for the defensive line kind of got blown up when Corey Peters went down in pre-season. He was...

    Week 10 Heroes and Goats

He is annoying. It made me laugh though when Floyd beat Sherman for the touchdown. You could hear CC in the background saying "Oh No" as the pass was being thrown. Him and all the Sea Hawks were all saying "Oh No".

I just heard on the radio that the feeling is that Lynch won't play. Take it for what it's worth.

Semi OT: Chuck Powell no longer doing daily news show

I do. Steve had maybe the best NFL inside info that we have ever had in Phoenix. His passion for the NFL and the Cardinals was a joy to listen to. They had great chemistry on that show and I looked forward to hearing Steve talk NFL every week.
