    Trading Nash

Exactly. Although I'm pretty sure Nash would bring back a hell of a lot in a trade. Oklahoma City has a point guard who would be good in Porter's system (Watson), extra draft picks (including ours in 2010), and a ton of cap space this offseason ($30 million +). They'd be stupid not to try...

    Trading Nash

I agree we need to give it time before trying a new approach--but in Porter's system, which isn't at all unique, Nash lacks the opportunity to dominate a game like he has for the past three years. If we do turn it around and win a title, it won't be because Nash takes us there.

    Trading Nash

I don't think they'd trade Fernandez for anybody on the Suns except Amare. Portland would make some sense, though. One of Chad Ford's articles suggested that if Portland wants the cap space to compete in the free agent market this summer, it'll have to renounce Steve Blake, Travis Outlaw...

    Trading Nash

I don't think we've seen nearly enough to know whether Kerr's plan (and Porter's coaching) will work in the end. The system is so radically different--and we've had a few games where we've played great--that any talk of overhauling the roster and/or starting over is premature. But I think...

Presently Satisfied With Robin Lopez Pick AT #15 ?

Your standard was that big men who look poor in their first season "never amount to anything." Roy Tarpley became one of the best players in the league (for a very short period of time). Brad Miller has been an all-star. Theo Ratliff turned into a good player. Rony Seikaly was mediocre at...

Presently Satisfied With Robin Lopez Pick AT #15 ?

I'll give you Miller and Tarp (even though both of those guys rebounded at a much higher rate than Carrot-top), but Buck Johnson? When Buck Johnson is part of your argument me thinks that says it all about that position. Ok, Truck Robinson, Shawn Kemp and Elden Campbell went from lousy...

Presently Satisfied With Robin Lopez Pick AT #15 ?

Not really. Players leaving college early is somewhat new, so there were hardly any 20 year old rookies in the league until the 90's. And other late developing big men include Brad Miller, Roy Tarpley, Buck Johnson--each was a 22 year old rookie who sucked, and they became very good...

    deep-fried turkey

Did you inject on your deep fried turkey? I was thinking of flavoring the oil (put a few heads of garlic in at very low temperature for an hour, then remove before frying), but I haven't seen any recipes for it, and I don't want to try something for the first time with 20 guests at...

    deep-fried turkey

I'm hosting Thanksgiving this year for the first time, and want to put on a good spread. I've never tasted deep-fried turkey. Is it as great as I've heard it is? Is it better than a turkey that's roasted really well?

    Michael Clayton

I just saw it and loved it, one of the better films I've seen in awhile. Reminded me of Michael Mann's The Insider, one of my favorite movies I've ever seen, for some inexplicable reason.

    Good obscure movies

I don't know how obscure this is, but Dog Day Afternoon is one of my favorite movies, and doesn't get the credit it should. Also-- Big Night The Third Man And a few documentaries-- American Movie Paradise Lost The Thin Blue Line

    Good obscure movies

The Straight Story is a great movie, but I haven't seen many of the others. I'll add a few to the queue--thanks for the tips . . .

    Good obscure movies

Any and all, but I usually like older movies better. My favorite are of the Serpico/Mean Streets/Bullitt variety.

    Good obscure movies

I try really hard to like them, but it usually doesn't work.

    Good obscure movies

I just spent 20 minutes on Netflix trying to find something I've never seen before that looks good, and couldn't find much. I thought I'd ask the board--any suggestions? Movies that are outside the mainstream--so you probably wouldn't find them in the rather mainstream "cult favorites" section...

    electrical/breaker problem

The lights in my kitchen won't come on. Whoever put in my electrical system didn't mark all of the breakers and none were marked "kitchen," so I went one by one and tried them all (off, then on) and still no lights in the kitchen. Anybody have any ideas, before I end up paying an electrician...

Need help remembering ad from 80's

Anybody remember the ad from the 80's for a stereo system, in black and white, a guy sitting on a chair in front of a stereo or a tv and looking like the wind was going to blow him off the screen? Which company's ad was that? I need to hunt down a poster of it. Any help much appreciated.

When you put it that way, I guess it's because I am a complete prick.

    Carlos Quentin has broken wrist

I know I'm wrong for taking comfort in this news, but I'm not sure whether I'm only mildly boorish for it, or a complete and total prick.

O-Dog Breaks wrist / Orlando Hudson

    Running cable into the garage

I'm not sure this belongs in this forum...so mod, feel free to move it. I've turned my garage into a woodworking shop, and want to run Cox cable into it. It has no cable outlet, and (I think) I'll have to splice from an outlet inside, and drill a hole through a door or a wall to run it in...

    Suns interested in Ben Gordon?

Put Gordon in D'Antoni's system and put Barbosa in Scott Skiles system, and those numbers would change dramatically in Gordon's favor.
