    WWYD In a Kobe Trade?

Hypothetically speaking, this is what a Kobe trade would look like: Marion James Jones Barbosa Atlanta's pick Kobe Vlad Radmonovic Marion will either opt out next summer or his contract will expire the summer after that, and the same is true for JR--worst case, in 2009 they'll...

    Kobe's wishlist

ROTFL when I heard this. It's not happening, and I'm happy it's not happening, but it does warm my heart to learn that Kobe is consumed by envy for the team that sent him home the last two years. :D

    Suns @ Spurs - Game Thread - Friday May 18, 2007 - 6:30pm

On that last Duncan foul before the half, did you notice how they all held the whistle until Boris caught the ball? They weren't going to call anything until the travel. But if you smack the ball out of Tony Parker's hand, it's an automatic foul. Suns playing how they have...

    Dick Bavetta's Doing the Game

So they hand out "negative fouls" now? ;)

    Suns @ Spurs - Game Thread - Friday May 18, 2007 - 6:30pm

Spurs favored by 2.5 or 3 tonight. As I understand it, there's a lot of "dumb money" on the Suns, which usually isn't a good sign. With Bavetta out there and the Spurs at home, you can pretty much write off any chance of Duncan getting into foul trouble. Unlike Eddie F. Rush, Bavetta won't...

    Van Gundy fired by Rockets

Carroll Dawson quit a week ago--I've always thought he was one of the league's worst GMs. If Daryl Morey and his new group are any good, the Rockets should rise to contender status fairly quickly IMO. I'm surprised they couldn't work it so that JVG quit instead.

    Dick Bavetta's Doing the Game

I gather that the Power That Is isn't expecting a game 7. Look for Amare to serve the third game of his suspension tonight.

Noah, Brewer, Yi at Suns Game

There are your three guys, I guess. The Suns will likely choose one of them if they wind up with Atlanta's pick. I've never disliked Noah as everybody else seems to, but now I'm starting to get enthusiastic about him--reading DX with their glowing hype-filled review of Brewer, for...

The refs will decide game six!

You might be right, but I don't think Stern will make his decisions with that in mind. If anything, he'll break things the Spurs' way out of stubbornness. Dick Bavetta and Violet Palmer tonight? If so, you'll know which team the commish is rooting for.

Spurs vs. Suns - From a Spurs Fan

I don't even like Raja that much. He's a necessary evil, and Bowen and Ginobili are the guys who make him necessary. Sheed and wHorry in the same sentence? Give me a break.
  12. F-Dog

So who is the dirtiest player in the NBA?

wHorry has been a bitch his entire career. The Suns have just never been good enough to get his full attention before. If the Spurs go on to lose this series, you think he'll come crawling back to Phoenix in the offseason, looking for a job?

ESPN Poll: Who's the best player left in the playoffs?

    Jason Kidd...

spurs not dirty? spurs pistons comparo...

Until we have a series in which it becomes obvious that repeated cheap shots against Nash and Amare are part of the Pistons' game plan, I'll stick with the Spurs, thank you.
  15. F-Dog

So who is the dirtiest player in the NBA?

Dirtiest in the league today? Yes. 80's had enforcers stepping off the bench to make sure a Bowen doesn't get to play until he's 36. You can guess what happened to that, I think.

    Great Series Phoenix

Oh, I'm sure you can get banned talking basketball, too. ;) I can't say I have "disdain" for any young player, even Carmelo, and I certainly don't see the point in disliking Amare, who grew up in such Dickensian squalor that he'd probably have no chance to be in the league at all if his...

Long Range Impact of Tonight's Game

One thing this series has proven is that the Suns are the better basketball team. They already know they match up well with Dallas, so if the Suns keep the team together, they should be favorites for next year's title. I'm sure Sarver will be very disappointed if the Suns are upset here, though.

    We didn't deserve to win

Yeah, too damn fair. Where the hell were the home calls? How many fouls did Duncan wind up with? Two? He gets away with plays that other players wouldn't even attempt, because they know it's an automatic call.

    Great Series Phoenix

Can't handle the truth, I see.

    Of the Florida players...

I've said it before, the Suns will take Noah or Yi. I'm not impressed by Brewer's shot. If they take him, though, I'll be hoping like hell that I'm wrong.
  21. F-Dog

So who is the dirtiest player in the NBA?

Bowen and Fortson are the two guys who come to my mind. Fortson might be out of the league next year, though.
  22. F-Dog

    Forfeit

Yeah, Nash is what killed me. The (I hope) two biggest games of his life coming up, and D'Antoni sends him out there for the NBA equivalent of 130 pitches. They needed to put Nash on the bench more (in both halves) and hand the ball to Rose, or Banks, or even Barbosa--like Eric, it...

    Spurs @ Suns - Game Thread - Wed. May 16, 2007 - 7:30pm - TNT

Suns needed to make some of those shots. I really doubt they'll be able to keep their energy up like this all game. Duncan finishes the half with one foul.

    Spurs @ Suns - Game Thread - Wed. May 16, 2007 - 7:30pm - TNT

Problem is, Suns still need to go to the bench. They've already burned through their regular rotation with JR in. I wonder who the 6.5th man will be tonight. I'm actually hoping it's Burke, believe it or not.

Be thankful he got the one to think about. Duncan might not pick up another foul all game.
