    So you just sign him to a similar deal where he gets guaranteed money next year. I.e., 1 million this year and 3 million guaranteed next year. The Jets are on the hook for $5 mill, we pay $1m then $3m next year whether or not he plays.

    Chad Williams, yes. Valid argument on Scooby. Brandon Williams is not a shoe-in imo. He did nothing last year. If he played special teams, I didn't notice him. Low 3rd round picks are not sacred in year 2. Sure, they could stick with him, but it's far from a guarantee.

    They had a good thing going with Marone and Schwartz at DC, with perfect personnel for their 4-3 defense. Then they dumped that combo after 1 year for sideshow Rex and his 3-4 defense that didn't fit their personnel. That is why bad teams stay bad.

    Next years 4th is taken as a mid 5th this year, about 25 points. This years 6th is 12 points. It's a dead even deal by the chart.
