    the Norm Chow rumors

He's all yours. Here's how his defense ranked this year. http://www.nfl.com/stats/teamsort/NFL/DEF-TOTAL/2006/regular?sort_col_1=4

    Attention Cardinal Management:

The best thing for the Cards would be for Joe Thomas to be off the board. Joe Thomas = Robert Gallery. Best bet is to trade down and get Jake Long or some more defensive help.

    the Norm Chow rumors

Tell you what. How about you leave Norm Chow alone (us Titans need some stability to help VY's growth), but for the bargain price of a 2nd hand jock strap, we'll send Chief Red Hat your way a a Head Coach. http://www.titansonline.com/team/coaches/staff.php?PRKey=3

i think we could bring in a probowl FS REAL cheap

He was cut for two reasons - Salary Cap purge (still) - Lamont Thompson is cheaper and performed very well in Lance's role last year. And also, Lance was considered a "poor trainer". His attitude on the practice field was not good last year which helped o make him expendable.

titans lose dyson, rolle will go #6

Rolle (or any other CB) is no lock for the Titans. Nothing would surprise me, but Floyd Reese very rarely drafts for need in the 1st round. I would say the leading candidates for our pick (in no particular order) are: Barron (OT) Rolle (CB) Williams (WR) Rodgers/Smith (QB) Benson (RB)...

Seahawks | Prepared to Offer Dyson a Contract

I don't believe the Titans have actually made a contractoffer to ADyse. We have been talking with him and may still bring him back in, but I'd consider it a longshot. He may have burnt one too many bridges here when he said "certain coaches don't like me and thought I was soft." Certain...

    P Bucannon goes to Texas

For the same reason that they gave up 2/3rds of their draft last year in exchange for the Titans 2nd round pick (which they then used on a player that could havebeen had in their original spot in the 2nd rd) - i.e. their GM is a moron. Either that or he plays golf on Saturday afternoons and...

1st trade - Washington and Denver Trade picks

So, do Washington now package #9 and #25 to move up for Braylon Edwards???
  11. Carpy

Why would anyone draft this guy?

Surely, vision is the most under-rated commodity in a Running back at this time of the year. There have been plenty of big, fast guys who couldn't cut it at RB because they took tehir big, fast body and kept running into brick walls. (Curtis Enis, Rashaan Salaam, Trung Canidate come to mind)...

    Cedric Benson

I posted this elsewhere, but it's probably relevant to this discussion as well. I read some stats on Benson relating to his percentage of yards gained after contact. Benson's numbers come in at just over 60%. The last RB to come out of college with a number over 60% was Earl Campbell. Which...

    Adrian McPherson wows scouts

But can he do it from his knees????? I don't understand at all the drama with gambling in general? Did he actualy bet against his own team? If the fact that you are a gambler, means you are unsuitable to be drafted, you can go ahead and rule out any one from Australia with a pulse.

    Cards high on Benson

I read some stats on Benson relating to his percentage of yards gained after contact. Benson's numbers come in at just over 60%. The last RB to come out of college with a number over 60% was Earl Campbell. Which obviously means two things. One - he is a BEAST. Two - he is probably headed...

    Welcome in new member, AussieCardinal

I visit the TOMB occaionally, but generally spend most of my time at GoTitans.com. It's not as active, but most of the posters there are reasonably knowledgeable and don't post every message like it's an SMS.

Actually it will be closer to 4 am. Up until this year with the Titans picking in the latter half of the first round I have generally been able to get up and log on to the net before their pick (usually tune in to ESPN Radio) by 6am. This year it will be closer to 4 am (If it starts at 1pm...

Cards suspend quarterback reality for another year

Of the last 13 Super bowls, there were only two QBs who were drafted by their original team, that took their team to the title (Brady and Aikman).

    Steve McNair

I'm not sure where you read Titans fans speculating that the Cards will be an easy game, but take it from me that we know full well we are in for some tough times and we know that the Cardinals are a vastly improved team. Is there optimism that we can still make 1 Superbowl run before the...

    Steve McNair

The chances of the Titans letting McNair go are less than zero. Our cap problems are big, but manageable. This article gives you a pretty good synopsis on where we are headed cap-wise: http://www.gotitans.com/artman/publish/article_00581.shtml If McNair retires, look for the Titans to...

    QB situation and solution

Mc9 won't be retiring. A number of us on the Titans board are pushing for us to draft a QB with our #6 pick (if Smith or Rodgers is still on the board). Billy's trade value is at its highest level right now, and whilst he has put up good (actually great) numbers in a few games late this season...

    QB situation and solution

Two questions: 1. What would you be willing to give up in a trade for Billy Volek? 2. If you aren't going to use #8 on a rookie (given Alex Smith and Rodgers will both likely be gone) would you consider bringing in someone like Tim Hasselbeck to compete with McCown? From what I have seen...

    According to Chris Mortenson

I think you guys would have overpaid to get Henry with a 2nd rounder. With Alexander, Bennett, Jordan and Henry on the market a lot of teams are going to fill RB needs through Free Agency. Also, as stated earlier this year's draft is very deep at RB, so by the time your 2nd round pick comes...

    Drop Thompson, draft Johnson

It's a moot point. If he's still there at #6, there's no way the Titans pass on him.

    2005 Draft: Names to watch

If you are looking at CB you could certainly do worse than look at Andre Dyson. With our cap situation, we are really going to struggle to re-sign him next year and he has really improved as a player over his time in Tennessee. I was somewhat surprised the Cards didn't make some sort of a run...
