Miami's pick and roll defense has just destroyed our offense tonight.

What is Marv Alberts problem???

Doug Collins was talking about how tough our schedule had been and Marv totally dismissed him and said he hated coaches who "complain about the schedule." Then goes on to continue to make fun of Gentry by saying "Is he going to complain about going to the store?"

What's the matter Marv was your favorite Phx prostitue booked tonight is that why you're grumpy?

Ouch. Funny and harsh!!

You might say that was a 'biting' remark. :)

Heat have the best floppers in basketball. Doesn't matter though, we'll never win unless the bench starts to actually do something.

lol, touché ;)

It was just bizarre because Collins kept sticking up for gentry by listing all the teams we have played and Albert just kept mocking him like a total ass...

I think putting Frye back on the bench is good, at least he spreads out the defense with the Center guarding him up top and Dragic gets more room to maneuver. I don't think Frye's offense is consistent enough for him to start because one game he could hit 7 threes, and then for 5 games do nothing but miss badly.

Yeah, that's about right, Dud went off. Chemistry and roles are going to be interesting from here on out.
I kinda not see us making anymore moves this year, trade wise.

We do have talent and size, just have to ( and I hate this word after the season has started ) GEL.

Suns lose 95-83. Good start by the Suns but lousy play for most of the rest of the game.

Ugly, boring game to watch. How many more of these east coast basketball games do we have left?

Playing Dragic with Gortat looks pretty useless, Gortat likes the pick and roll. Dragic is pretty bad at executing anything but a drive to the paint kickout.

It's hard for the team to gel or get on a roll when the refs call bogus fouls against the Suns and swallow their whistles as much as they did for the Heat. Fricking ridiculous. Suns would've won the game or it would've been really close had the refs called the game fairly.

The refsdid no favors for the home team tonight that's for sure. Flat out lousy officiating. That being said we are not going to beat good teams with Nash, hill, frye, Lopez, shoot the whole damn team not showing up besides Dudley!

Man, Lebron is such an arrogant prick these days. Did you catch him as the clock wound down? Flicks the ball over to his team, glares at the ref, turns his back on the ref and the play with like 25 seconds to go. Untucks his jersey, puffs out his chest and starts swaggering back to the bench. No respect for his opponents, his team or the game. Doesn't go congratulate his team on the floor or anything. Blech. I used to like the guy.

This current NBA generation is a real mixed bag. The players are more athletic and talented then ever, both offense and defense, but there sure are a bunch of unappealing personalities in the league. Especially the superstars. Egomania on display every night! Woohoo!

Suns need to trade for Barbosa.

We need a playmaker on our bench.

So we could see him run wildly into the paint and have his shot sent into the stands over and over again?

Well, ole Marv has always been kind-of an ass. And he has never been a fan of the Suns. So not surprising. Notice how he praised Amare to the moon now that he plays for the Knicks.

In his defense, he might have been trying to offset Kerr's perceived Sun's favoritism, but I doubt it.

That's not a shock to me. However, we were close in this game even though we were very off tonight. I'm not disappointed. When do we face some easy teams? It seems like every night its against one of the top teams in the league (and then to not get any calls as well). We aren't going to win many games if this pattern keeps up.

Well, Kerr said it. Best two teams in the league at pick-n-roll defense (Celts and Heat) give the Suns fits. While this game was fugly, the Suns played better defense than the in the previous Heat beatdown earlier in the year. That's a positive sign. Of course, DWade wasn't playing, so who knows how bad it might have been.

Going to take this new version of the Suns awhile to figure it out. Luckily, as Kerr also mentioned, the schedule does get easier soon.

Still need a starting caliber PF, though. I really like Channing, and think he was actually a good keep during this last summer (amongst all the other dumb moves). He's been really rounding out his defense and offense this year. I think he will keep getting better with time. However, he's much better in our system as the bench offense guy. Plays really well with Goran too.

Let's see how Vince plays with the team. If it isn't a noticeable improvement, time to try moving VC, Hakim and a draft pick for a starting PF, IMO.
