San Francisco fans will have to wait a little longer to see Michael Crabtree on the field as the wide receiver will not be activated for Sunday's game against the Atlanta Falcons and is expected to make his NFL debut after the 49ers bye week on Oct. 25 at Houston, a team source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

I dont like that either. Thats three concussions in one year. Roman is his back up right? He shouldve addressed the safety issue in the offseason

Yeah I read that too. Thats pretty cool just very suprised he will be starting just like that. We'll see Sunday, I was excited to see him in his 12-15 plays but now he'll be starting

The 49ers ought to love the comparison. On a conference call with Bay Area reporters this morning, Kubiak put Johnson and Crabtree in the same sentence.

I think Andre Johnson ran a 4.4 at the NFL Combine. What did Crabtree run?

That comparison is almost as bad as comparing Shawn Hill to Kurt Warner.

Coach Mike Singletary said Crabtree has received a fair share of ribbing since reporting to the team. His new teammates demanded Crabtree sing “Happy Birthday” to Singletary last week.
And how is Crabtree's singing?
“Awful,” Singletary said.
“But not one time did he complain. Not one time did he show any body language of ‘I'm above this.' He's been a team guy since he's been here,” Singletary said.
