I am intrigued by Brand. One year rental to teach Morris and Frye some toughness.

If you look at his numbers they are pretty weak. All you can expect from him now a days is 12 and 6. Someone will pay too much for him just for the name. Id rather see quieef develop. Brand would be horrible for the Suns system anyways...

Id rather see the suns go after Blair from San Antonio, they are shopping him. Maybe our two 2nds would do the trick for Blair? Id take that. Adds a young, tough, rebounder

How bout them Mavericks!

Talk about a screw job. Dismantles a title contender that proved you dont have to load up on superstars... and they did so to attempt to load up on superstars then whiffed on all of em.

I will say, I would gladly watch a decade of disaster if the Suns won title before hand, but still, crappy times for the Mavs fans.

oh my God, no. First of all, the Phoenix Suns might have looked at a guy like Elton Brand if they were bringing back Steve Nash and Grant Hill. No way in hell do they even think about him and ESPECIALLY Blair when they are trying to put together a younger and more athletic team (despite their last two draft picks). I work with one of the biggest Spurs fans ever, and if we got Blair I would never hear the end of it. Blair is terrible.

A Dwight Howard Trade is Imminent. I repeat: A Dwight Howard Trade is Imminent.

LOL

Speculating that the Lakers are in play. But from what I understand, our trade made it so that the Lakers can't include any 1st round draft picks unless they are from 2017 or later. If Orlando has any sense, there is no way a trade with the Lakers is in the works. Bynum is ok, but for a team that will have to do a massive rebuild, not getting any picks is unacceptable.

Bynum is "ok"? They're getting back the second most talented big man in the game. That's how you rebuild... not with picks at the end of the first round. No one can offer anything close to value that the Lakers can unfortunately with Bynum.

I just don't think Bynum is enough to part with Howard, especially with no picks. I think the Lakers could try to work a three way where they dump Gasol to send picks/youth to Orlando along with Bynum. Something like Howard and Scola and filler to LA; Bynum, youth, and picks to Orlando; and Gasol to Houston.

Orlando just waited too long to trade Howard.

that's the problem though. because they waited so long to trade Howard, the Magic don't really have a lot of leverage right now to try and get all that much back. They know he's going to bolt next season and they can't lose him for nothing.

I'd love to see the Lakers have to include Bynum and Gasol in some kind of three way with Houston and Orlando as i think a Nash/Kobe/Howard ********* isn't nearly as strong as Nash/Kobe/Gasol/Howard, but I just don't think the Magic have the bargaining position to force that.

I just realized how up a creek that Mavs are. Nowitzki cannot be pleased right now. They lost their PG and their SG/6th from a team that needed roster fortification, not attrition. They have nobody to fill those holes and Nowitzki is a man alone. Beaubois can fill some of those deficiencies to some extent, but they already had him WITHOUT those now-present deficiencies. Too bad for them, but they at least got a ring out of their run....

Goes to show that in the current system just having tons of money to throw at players isn't enough.

if Bynum gets on a team where he is the primary option he is going to put up some monster numbers... provided he stays healthy. I definitely would not trade Gasol and Bynum in order to get it to Dwight Howard, and I don't think there's any chance the Lakers do that. Steve Nash is going to make Gasol look fantastic again. Depending on the opponent I would run the offense through that pick and roll and/or Andrew Bynum in the post. Kobe Bryant should be the third option most nights.

agreed. the idea that the Magic need to get better than a possibly dominant big man... for their dominant big man makes very little sense to me. you couldn't ask for a better building block than the 2nd team All-NBA Center when you're forced into trading the 1st team C. Nothing Houston has in the way of picks can come close to that, especially considering that if they get Howard, they'll probably be a 50 win club. Same with NJ.

Is David west a FA?

So many injuries. I hope no one took that as a racist comment lol. By injuries I mean damage to a biological organism which can be classified on various bases.

This may be the weirdest post I have seen on this board and maybe on any other....

The New Orleans Hornets agreement with Ryan Anderson is four years, approximately $36 million, league sources tell Y! Sports.

Not as bad as I thought it'd be. I was expecting 10mil per or higher.

I like both Anderson and Ayon. I wonder what the salary difference will be. For some reason Ayon always catches my eye when he plays, I guess because I like players who can play the PF/C position who have upside. I know he is 27.

Seems like a good trade for both teams.

Ayon is making about 1.5mil per for the next 3 years. I like him too, similar style player as Varejao or Noah but has a lot of work to do to reach that level.
