The @PelicansNBA Anthony Davis is getting x rays on thing and tailbone after hard fall under basket.
I thought there were no official "no trade" clauses in the NBA?

Carmelo also confirmed he has not considered waiving his no-trade clause.

That's something that is either ignored or forgotten about Embiid, his back problems. It was his foot injuries and surgeries that caused him to miss his first two years but his back was the first red flag that caused him to slip in that draft when he was originally considered as the best talent in the 2014 draft and surefire #1 overall pick before he had the stress fracture in his back. Not only was he considered the best player in that draft before his injury he was projected a better pick than Wiggins or Parker who went #1 & #2. I think he would have slipped further if Philly didn't take the chance on him, similar to how Noel did in what was a very weak draft. The 2014 draft was much deeper with much better talent than the 2013 draft.

This is a bit of a history rewrite. Embiid was never considered the best player in the draft. Wiggins was always the #1 pick with Parker a close second. He'd shown an incredible learning curve at KU, but was still very raw. It was his two years of rehab that got his skills to where they are now.
I think the injury concerns are a bit overblown.
On Philly.com, Dr. Robert Senior wrote, "Spondylolysis is the most common lower-back injury associated with overuse in sports and is especially common in growing adolescents and teens. While Embiid recently turned 20, his tremendous height and status as a relative newcomer to the sport of basketball (he first played competitively in 2011) would suggest a higher risk for such an injury."
That same article says Emeka Okafor had the same injury in college, he's seen as both an example of someone who got past it, and someone who ended his career early because of a herniated disk in his neck that many think was related to his back injury.
Andre Drummond also had spondylolysis his rookie year in the NBA. That was 4 years ago. If someone claims they wouldn't want Embiid as their centerpiece for a team because of what might happen 10 years from now their missing the forest for the trees IMO.
http://nba.nbcsports.com/2017/01/17...y-rubio-packaging-with-with-shabazz-muhammad/The Sacramento Kings have had a strong interest in acquiring Rubio, but there’s no traction on a deal between those two teams, league sources said. So far, the Timberwolves are trying to exhaust the market elsewhere for a better return of assets than the Kings can offer

PHI may have 2 lotto picks again in 2017 - theirs and LA's (top 3 protected). If LA keeps 2017 pick, their 2018 1st goes to PHI unprotected.

Thats the pick the Suns gave up for Knight.
Is there anybody out there that still thinks the Suns didn't get robbed blind on this deal?
IMO the Suns will drag their feet on trading Knight simply to avoid looking like chumps again.
They will like chumps if they don't deal him imo because it would show that he's actually untradable player.Alex KennedyVerified account@AlexKennedyNBA
