Hmm. $9.3 million for a pick in the 20's. That's a lot. I would ask for cash too. $3 million or so.

We're under the salary floor as is, so we'd have to pay out that cash one way or the other. It'd be nice to get some cash in that trade but I wouldn't press the issue.

After all these years the Celtics finally got a good player to replace Bird.

If the Celts do land Hayward he'll be 1 of 4 small forwards. Jaylen Brown, Jae Crowder, and Jayson Tatum. Gerald Green, James Young, and Jonas Jerebko were also on the roster last year and listed as small forward.

They also have 3 point guards between IT, Marcus Smart, and Avery Bradley.

But he's not a superstar by any means. He'll help make Boston better, but if you're big THREE is still Thomas, Heyward and... uh... Horford, you ain't winning jack squat.

I think he's in the 20-30 range. I mean right now if you said you can start your franchise with Devin Booker or Hayward I think every GM would pick Booker based on upside. Hayward is nice but he's not a star
