I have listened to Gambo since hist first day in the Valley. Like him, love him or hate him he has proven to have legit contacts in the organizations here. Most rumors true or not are never corroborated anyway. Like I said, Gabmo often takes something small he hears and turns it into a big fish story or adds his take. So being wrong about stuff is not a surprise.

Doesn't this suck? Why couldn't we have an amazingly deep draft this year?

What sucks even more is the Suns winning meaniless games at seasons end ruining their chances at getting an impact player in the draft. They have nobody else to blame but themselves. As usual.

They probably cost themselves a spot, it doesn't look like that's going to matter much either.

It might. I sure would rather have number three than four. Imagine if the Lakers/76ers did something silly (entirely possible) and Ingram/Simmons slipped to the Celtics. Then there's trade value. The three is always worth more than the four. Besides these two scenarios, I'd rather have the option of all remaining players after Simmons/Ingram.

I am really intrigued by Baldwin. I love his measurables and his game. He is a 2 way player who could back up Bledsoe or spell him should he get injured again. Looking at his video clips I do not get the knock on him that he is not explosive enough as clips show him ending drives to the basket with dunks in traffic. Could his ball handling use work...maybe but he has functional handles to be a PG in the NBA right now.

Jaylen Brown was in "great shape" & "super explosive" doing "Dame workout" for MIL, TOR & PHI today, shot ball better than expected, source.

Ran into Alvin Gentry tonight. Asked him who the Pels wanted in the draft. Surprisingly, he was noncommittal.

I think we know one player Devin Booker likes a lot.

Devin Booker is in the gym today to see his college roommate and close friend since eighth grade, Tyler Ulis, work out for the Suns.

That is not really very impressive on the vert. The 3/4 sprint would have been tops at the combine and the lane agility is pretty good. But Simmons is all about skills.

That is not really very impressive. But Simmons is all about skills. Don't think this will hurt him at all. He posted pg-like numbers with a 6-10 body.

.@DejounteMurray most upside of any PG in draft. Think he goes between 10-20. Bucks, Jazz, Grizz, Pacers like him.

His scouting reports look like Westbrook's when he first came in to the league.

???

Westbrook was a pure combo guard and did not show much PG skills. Also he was an athletic freak which D.Murray is not.

Murray resembles Jamal Crawford.

Chad Ford: .@BenSimmons25 yet to commit to working out for anyone, including Sixers & Lakers. Won’t matter. Sixers very likely will take him No. 1

It is still 3 weeks until the draft.

Man the NBA offseason is just way too long, the playoffs are too long and the regular season is too crowded with back to backs...

Hopefully they will spread out the regular season more so players get more rest between games and travel and the fans don't have to wait through a 6-7 months (mid april to november) offseason depending on the playoffs.

Not really. Westbrook was a backup PG as a freshman and played PG quite a bit as a soph early in the year when Collison was out hurt. The entire reason Westbrook got drafted that high is people were projecting him to be a PG and he was so athletic for a PG.

remember how that whole thing went down, the "plan" that year was Westbrook returns to UCLA, Collison goes pro, Holiday, Lee and Anderson come in. Howland had even reportedly promised Westbrook he'd be the PG if he came back. then Collison surprised everyone by staying, Westbrook left, and Collison was the pG which is why holiday left after 1 year, he was mad he wasn't the PG.

Westbrook will never be a pure PG but he had played it quite a bit before he got the NBA.
