Great we've become an anti-destination for even draftees. Awesome.

Well, in all fairness, he is a combo guard, and the Suns have two combo guards and a shooting guard who happens to be the future of the franchise. It would be silly for him to want to play in Phoenix.

If anything, it makes me not want Dunn anyway. I hate these entitled kids that think they can rig the system to fit themselves when they haven't proved a thing.

Trade Knight and the Suns become similar to Minnesota (in eyes of Dunn).

I'm not sure if Brice Johnson is working out with a group or by himself.....

UNC's Brice Johnson is working out for the Phoenix Suns on June 8. Then, he'll be working out for the Denver Nuggets on June 9.

Gambo is behind the times and as usual has no clue. This is 2 week old news, the report was that Dunn's people didn't want him in Boston or Phoenix presumably because he wouldn't automatically be handed the backup PG job but would have to fight for his minutes. They want him on the court right away apparently.

Gambo was saying it two weeks ago. He's just reiterating that Dunn's camp has not changed their stance. Frankly I don't care b/c I'm not high on Dunn. He'd be a good fit in Minnesota or New Orleans.

Dunn shouldnt be on our radar anyway. He is not special compared to the other prospects, does not fill a need and is only 2 years younger than Knight.

To me the #4 pick comes down to Brown, Chriss, Bender or Murray.

It seems to me that the priority for the first 2 picks is definitely going to be PF at 4 or 13 and small forward with the other pick. For example Chriss and Luwawu/Prince or Brown and Labissiere/Davis/Ellenson.

At 28 and 34 there seem to be a LOT of center prospects available:

Thon Maker
Damion Jones
Ante Zizic
Ivica Zubac
Diamond Stone
Stephen Zimmermann
AJ Hammons
Zhou QI
Georgios Papagiannis

just to name a few..

Also PG prospects:

Dejounte Murray
Tyler Ulis
Gary Payton II
Demetrius Jackson
Cat Barber
Kay Felder

Here is more about Jaylen Brown in today's article from Paul Coro at azcentral.

He talks of being an influence on his NBA team’s community as well as a standout player.

Many of his abilities have been liked to Detroit small forward Stanley Johnson, another strong, athletic swingman who was declaring himself as the best player in the draft at this point last year after one season at Arizona. The Pistons selected Johnson at No. 8.

“Stanley’s my guy,” Brown said. “I can see it. We have similar body types. I think we do some of the things the same but I think we’re a little different. That’s my big bro so anytime somebody compares me to him, it’s all love.”

Anyone for drafting a Stanley Johnson type player at #4?

Jaylen Brown got the motivational tag team of Suns staffers Bret Burchard and Jason Fraser for his three-minute run.

He worked out for Boston recently and they do the running thing also.

Jaylen is in great shape. 6'7 220? 5%bodyfat

It was the effort that caught my eye. Brown should beat Suns staffers.

Damn you think Murray will last till #28? I know Draftexpress has him going like 2nd round but draft.net has him going top 10.

Interesting.

This is going to be an interesting draft. Lots of decent prospects in the late first and even into the second. Lots of different opinions.

It's gong to be interesting because I think everyone is guessing. IMO, I think we will see more reaches in this draft then we have seen in a long time.

I think Bender is our target with Chriss the backup. But if Bender is gone and we're not completely sold on Marquese, I really hope we'll be trading down or out. The problem is there are a lot of teams that want to do just that, perhaps including even 2 of the 3 teams drafting in front of us. About the only thing that would drive me crazy in this draft is if we're the team desperate enough to move up.

This. Honestly, unless the Suns are 100% convinced on a player, freaking trade down and out. Rack up picks for future drafts that are going to be better depth wise. Even with 3 picks in the first it feels like 3 scratcher tickets at a convenience store this year more than ever.

Haven't there already been several NBA prospects (or eventual players) named Mamadou N'Diaye? What's up with that?

Yeah, I think the same thing every time I hear this guy's name. I'm not sure they're all spelled the same but I seem to remember a guy with a similar name from UNC and another one from Auburn.

N'Diaye is the african equivalent of Johnson, Jackson, Williams, Smith..

Mamadou is a popular african name also.

There has only been one Mamadou Ndiaye before. A lottery bust of the Sonics in 2000.

It seems all is quiet on the Bender front with the Suns. If the Suns draft Bender they will likely come back and draft another PF at #13 unless a PG like Wade Baldwin is there.

I agree this draft is a head scratcher. This reminds me a lot of the 2014 draft where the Suns had three picks, but there was a lot of talent in that draft 1-16. The Suns had picks at 14, 18 and 27.

At least the Suns have have early picks at 4 and 13 picks plus picks at 28 and 34.

However, I think this is a much deeper draft. Good talent should be found later in the first round and into the second round.
