Seaver might make a risky move to try and win now but I have a hard time believing he would make an incredibly risky financial move like trading for Wall.

I've tried to not put a whole lot of credence in the rumors about why Jones brought in Crawford and made Tyson available as he did. But, when you consider the comment Sarver made about talking with Jones apparently before he fired Ryan. And the rumor that there was a PG deal in place that either Ryan was against or Sarver was. Throwing those stories together with the Wall rumors and I can't help but be concerned that Jones had the deal in place all the time and Ryan refused to ever work with Rich Paul again. If that's what led to Ryan's firing and if that's where we're going on the 15th of December, we're royally screwed IMO.

This is all speculation on my part, obviously I hope I'm way off base.

That actually makes sense, especially with the sort of amicable way that McD's firing went down. Sarver spoke well of him in his first interview on Gambo the next day and McD spoke fondly of his time in Phoenix when he was interviewed also. McD was a little too calm, it seemed. Perhaps he knows he avoided a headache, and in this case the headaches name was Rich Paul. McD has thrown players under the bus and spoke poorly of them but he handled his own firing so well is surprising. I know he's grown since the bashing players stuff but this was his job and his team. If at any point you would think he'd act like a petulant child it would be after his livelihood was taken away.

Ugh, I really wish you hadn't suggested that because now I'm going to fear it until Wall is traded elsewhere.

Of course McD is calm. He is on a paid vacation for what? Two or three years. He can take that new wife of his on an extended vaca. He can get to all the “honey do’s” she had piling up.

I just don't buy Rozier as anything better than a low end starter who we will have to grotesquely overpay because we traded for him in a contract season.

I also have no wish to make a trade with Danny Ainge, seeing as he hasn't just been winning his trades but committing larseny.

I would take him over Rozier. But he still doesn't solve our need for a starting caliber point guard.

I watched the Bullets game last night and I was not impressed by Wall.

Arizona does not need a Wall!

He scored 30 on something like 9/50 and he looks like he’s lost a step already. After the game he was whining about the trade rumors so if he comes here he’s not gonna be happy about it.

Frankly it seems like he’s doing the phased retirement plan. Signed a monster contract now chill in DC giving just enough effort to get by and enjoy the sweet life.

His 3p% last night was .417. Booker is .363 on the season. In fact, the only time this season Booker shot better than .400 from 3 was the first game against Dallas.

It could also turn potential employers away from him. You're supposed to outwardly show loyalty, even after you've left the building. It's a little bit like a breakup - no matter how much you hate your ex you don't talk about her foot fetish or him coming to bed in a Tarzan outfit.

I don't want to single this game out especially since Wall was pretty good during their comeback but he forced a lot of shots that got them into trouble in the first place. And despite getting hot later in the game, he was still just 9 for 24. But IMO Jeff Green was the most important player on the court for the Wizards, they aren't close enough to even make a comeback if Green hadn't been keeping them within 20 all night.

Beal makes Booker tradeable. Honestly, Booker has some improvement to do. He needs to improve his efficiency and defense.

I am not seriously espousing trading Booker, but there are some things.

He's the type of guy I would gamble on. He's 27, has a history of efficiency. Great size. Solid athlete. He hasn't been given enough opportunity in Washington but shined when Wall went out. Would his efficiency carry over into a full-time starting role? Probably not...but if you're going to find a diamond in the rough, he's the type of guy to go after. Most other candidates are severely flawed or would be super expensive to acquire.

Maybe not but the Suns could wait a long time before adding another key player.

It would commit the Suns to playing Booker at point guard and moving Bridges to small forward but it could be a devastating lineup.
